An early congrats to hogs

I think Houston Nutt did a very classy job of not running up the score in the second half. I know he and Fulmer have a good relationship from things I hear come out of the meetings in Destin every year. Arkansas is clearly better than we are and the play calling in the second half was nothing less than gracious. Another reason I respect this team and that coach. And to think everyone was ready to run him out of Fayetteville to begin the year. Definitely SEC Coach of the Year in my opinion. I hope they win the SECCG and represent the SEC in the National Title Game. :eek:k:

Arky is going to run through us like Sherman ran through Georgia.

Florida's defensive line is approximately 1000 times better than UT's. Don't sell yourself short. Also, Florida's defense doesn't seem to give up like a Chavis-led squad.

Florida is awfuly banged up right now. And Thomas is gone. SC ran pretty well on us tonight and Florida D was exhausted at game's end.

I just think Arkansas is firing on all cylinders right now and Florida is struggling. If game were this coming weekend, I's make it Arky -9.

Thank you very much for the class that you all have shown! There will be Hog fans that dont know how to be humble.....oh and I think if we continue to play like this.....you will not have to worry about Florida!

oh, if you happen to be traveling in our state and get a ticket, let me know; i can help make it easier. if you're from this board i'll do it for you pro-bono.

The Hogs are a very disciplined and polished team. I will agree with LG, they should romp on the Gators.

Well now, wait a minute., That is not quite what I said. What I said was that, if the game were to be played this weekend, I'd consider Arkansas the favorite.

Florida has time to improve. This weekend is a game against a very weak team and I expect that Meyer will rest many of the injured or nicked-up defensive players. He will probably make the O-line work hard in the game because they need it. And hopefully Leak & Co. will use this game to try to develop some kind of rhythm.

So, what I'm saying is that right now I think Arky would win but by no means would I say that Florida, by the time of the game, might not have gotten its act together. I think we will know a lot more on that once the Florida-FSU game is over.

By the way, friend of mine today said that, if we are going to lose one of these, he doesn't mind if we lose to Arky, just please don't let it be FSU that takes us out of NT game contention!!

That would be like Vanderbilt beating you when you are 11-0 and headed to the big game.

I was there to witness the complete domination. This one hurt more than any in a while, even last year's games.

Congrats to the Hogs.

Question though, why is everyone pulling for them against Florida? Just curious.

(If I HAD to put money on it, I would take Arkansas over Florida)

After my experience this weekend, I am pulling for the gators. Though if either one can win out and go to the National Title game, I will undoubtedly pull for them.

It's funny how different people have different experiences. Most of the Arky fans I ran into were very nice. My trip to Gainsville in '99...not so much.

I agree. Even my family that I went with had a much brighter view of it this weekend. I have been to the Swamp twice (2001 & 2003) and didn't come away with much of a negative vibe like I did this Arkansas game. It kind of seemed like the teams that are use to being an elite team, can handle the success better. Maybe I am wrong.

I don't plan on returning to Fayetteville in 5 years but if I can find some Hog fans that are willing to have me at the tailgate and talk football and not trash, I would consider a return.

It is beautiful country though out there. My Grandparents lived in Bella Vista for years and I always loved going up there for a visit.

Grats Hogs, I hope you go undefeated
I think they will finish the season with at least one loss.

If Arkansas doesn't win the SEC, I'll be shocked. Solid team and solid performance tonight.
Agreed. I don't think they've got the horses to take the national title... The SEC this year, like years past, has a bunch of very good teams with one or two hugely exploitable weaknesses. IMO Ark just happens to be the most consistent.

I think I understand why we had such different experiences at the swamp. We won in '01 and '03, right?

In '99, the gator fans that were up in my face after the game were not what you would call gracious winners.

I agree and understand that plays a huge role in it but even before the games, I think I had a worse experience in Fayetteville. Like I said in another thread, I seem to be in the minority, which is good because I have heard mostly good things about Arkansas fans. I just didn't get to experince it as much (with a couple of exceptions).
