UT obviously didn't play particularly well, but you have to hand it to American: they were not intimidated, they outhustled us (especially on the offensive glass), they dictated the tempo through most of the game, they were will coached, and they played with a hell of a lot of heart. Much like Belmont - you can't just assume you're going to blow a team out because you're seeded 13 spots higher.

well i dont usually agree with the ESPN guys but sadly true... american had a better plan than UT and executed it amazingly well but then talent level could not quite match with UT...

I have to admit I was suprised, epecially with the offensive glass. I think we overlooked them a little bit. I don't think that will happen with Butler.

we were lazy early...but we woke up and the 3 three's in the second half after we went up 10 were answered prayers,but we must be more aggressive the rest of the way or go home sunday night

not sure how much credit they should get for our poor play and "why am I here again?" attitude. They had a good gameplan but if we came out like we did a month ago this game would have been over by the 2nd TV break. Just not sure what it takes for these guys to turn the auto-pilot off

Thye have a habit of playing to the level of their competition, that's for sure.

We started the game without our starting point guard and our all american couldn't make a shot. That will level the playing field considerably. Both will be corrected come Sunday.
