Amazing Stat About Joey

Everyone was quick to point out his INT issue but he has been great so far. Sucks that he has 3 this year and only 1 was truly his fault.
You must mean the 1 that UGA intercepted while the CB was tackling our WR as he was trying to come back to the ball. I think that particular INT should have been erased with a pass interference call.

Joey has thrown some picks but none of them have been bad picks. It's really encouraging

Joey Aguilar has had 200 passing yards in all 28 of his career starts, the longest active streak in FBS.

That's an amazing feat.
Agree. Amazing stat but to me the best thing about his game is that you never get the feeling he’s unsure or overwhelmed. He gives off the vibe that he’s in complete control annd understands JH system…and at this point he’s making all the plays.

Is there any chance Joey gets a shot in the NFL?
He will absolutely get a chance if he continues his play which I expect he will… may be UDFA or late round but he will be in an nfl training camp next year… I wouldn’t bet against a guy who has overcame that much adversity at least making a practice squad or back up role.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, another quarterback that was disrespected and sent packing by the Atlanta Falcons. He turned out pretty good, Brett Favre.
Brett also drank way too much and spent WAY too much time in Buckhead.

Green Bay caught that lightning in just the right bottle!

A lot of older QBs are coming into the NFL. Daniels, Nix and Penix were all 24 when they were drafted. If Joey continues to play well, there’s some team that’ll take a chance on a QB in the middle rounds as a backup.

But keep in mind, all you need in life is an opportunity. Especially as a QB.

He led the country last year in passing yards per game. Yet everyone overlooked him and disrespected him.
No he didn’t. Kyle McCord threw for nearly 100 more yards per game last year. He never led the country in passing yards per game, and last year wasn’t his good year. The only thing he led the country in was interceptions.

I do wonder how his initial recruitment from the portal went though. I wonder if he had other decent options but went to UCLA because they had a need and were close to home, rather than no better program giving him a shot. Then when he transferred again he got to upgrade. In any case, we are fortunate that the Iamacoachkilla family did what they did.

Kurt Warner agrees! He was 27 and playing arena league ball when he made an NFL roster.
