Am I the only football fan that thinks they are the jinx? I support two very similar teams who this past week(vols and chiefs) went into their week 2 games looking to make a statement. Both teams pretty much dominated most of their games, but both found a way to lose. I just stand back and think, am I the reason they keep losing? The way the chiefs lost tonight, I start to think I am!

I'm a vols and Nashville Predators fan. So if you're a jinx, so am I.

Lol...I have pondered this at times as well. Thought I was the only one

My Titans and Marcus Mariota laid the smackdown on the bucs, so at least that lightened my mood after the disappointment last Saturday night

Told my wife she jinxed us in the OU game because she changed her clothes at halftime. Rookie mistake, she's awful sorry guys.

Saturday's loss is on me. I was making fun of my sister (auburn fan) for posting pics of their new jumbotron on facebook. Told my husband I wanted to say "does it show the score?" (auburn was losing to JSU at the time). I didn't say anything to my sis, just to my husband, but I did tell him I needed to stop making jokes cause karma might bite me. And it did. :cray:

I have often thought the Vols do better when I don't watch them. The OU game was sort of the same scenario.. We were in the ER with my son (kidney stone), the game was on but not paying to much attention.. He got released, we get home, I start watching closely and what happens......

Sorry guys...

Do things go bad right when you start thinking it could go good? You might be a jinx. Do they play awesome until you get up to get another drink? You might be a jinx. So you keep wearing the same game day shirt? You might be a jinx. Things that uses to work now they don't so you stop or change and they get blown out? You might be a jinx. I'm here to tell you brother there is no bigger jinx than me.....that is just one more thing the VOLS will have to overcome on top of talet and coaching. I will not give in to the jinx, I will show up, I will run my mouth, and I will eat crow until the VOLS turn it around and then all the folks that are die hard VOL haters because our football team beats their football team every year will be bitter for that reason again.
GO VOLS! RUN the TABLE!

Trust me OP if the last 2 games are the worst things that ever happen to you, you will live a wonderful life. And I would take that jinx every day of my life.

I think I am the Jinx. I spent 7 years at UT, now I live in Kansas, so naturally they are my 2 favorite teams. Last night I actually decided I needed to start cheering for Florida so the Jinx would affect them!

With mixed emotions no your not the only one! Automatically started singing that, is that the stones? We do not have anything stoping us vols are about to blow up!

Guys,

It is my wife's fault.. plain and simple. Anytime she sits down to watch a Vol's game we immediately make a major mistake or fold up like a cheap chair at a Weight Watches convention.

This bad Mojo dates back to Peyton's games in the Swamp. It has been consistent ever since. She can walk by and just ask "how are we doing" and we will fumble the dang ball.

For the good of all Vols, I have tried my best to manage this issue over the years. She is aware of the jinx and plans her weekly shopping trips to town during the games. Our 4th quarter collapses are directly tied to her getting back early from shopping and lingering in the room with the game on.

After this past week's game with OU. it was clear more drastic measures were necessary. I went and got two Baby gates out of storage. If this does not work, I fear I have failed my fellow Vol fans.
