They now throw several bowls in between the BCS bowls and the BCS championship since they have to wait a while to re-use the site between the, for example this year, BCS Orange Bowl and BCS Championship game.

The Liberty Bowl isnt what it used to be, back in the day it was a respectable bowl game....nowdays it isnt...mostly because its Memphis, its hard to get a huge sponsor, when most of the fans get robbed out in the parking lot or when they get back to their hotels....and the stadium looks like a piece of crap....I lived there for 5 years and would never go back....its one giant ghetto.....and thats the truth...

I agree with you.

The last day for bowls, IMO, should be Jan 2.

You would all the BCS games on the 1st...then play the NC game on the 2nd.

It is all about money though and I am sure they rake it in the way it is setup.

Well it looks like you want to peak with the better games and end it with the championship. I guess since I live here in KY I don't want to hear about how they got a Jan 2nd bowl game at 6-6.

I live in KY and believe me, I haven't been hearing much talk at all. They may brag about a bowl, but just remind them that they lost AGAIN to UT, and even when UT was having one of its worst years ever.

6-6 Kentucky vs ECU on Jan 2nd in the Liberty bowl?

This is why there will not be a playoff system. So crap teams like these will get post season play and money. Also, so the school president and his posse can spend a week being wined and dined by the bowl committee. :realmad:

Been quiet here in Franklin Co. too. Let's face it though, fairweather cats fans are already in basketball mode.

The SEC did not meet all it's bowl tie-in's, so some teams are bumped up a bowl. Probably getting better than they deserved.

Personally, I like them spreading out the games. I wish they would have a BCS game every night from January 3 to January 7. It would allow everyone to see all of the big games. I hate when they put two or three big games on tv at the same time.
