I am trying to decide if I am in some kind of time warp or long-term dream. How do my University of Tennessee Volunteers beat the crap out of Georgia, who beat Alabama, and turn around and lose handily to the hated Crimson Tide?

Losses by 14 points, 39 points (WOW!), and 24 points? What is going on here? I never would have believed that I would see our once-proud, butt-kickin', top 10 football program being relegated to mediocrity and off the grid.

How can this team find itself ranked number 37 (Good grief!!!!!!!!!!), following such powerhouses as Wake Forest, UConn, Air Force, BYU, Troy, and Oklahoma State?

There are SEVEN SEC teams in the AP Top 25 and we ARE NOT one of them. Never in my life have I been so embarrassed, disgusted, and literally depressed over the situation that now exists.

Well, I am not sure the powers that be care, or at least they don't appear to, because were this happening at 90% of the so-called top programs in the country, heads would be rolling or getting ready to roll.

GIVE ME AND ALL MY FELLOW VOLNATION COHORTS A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting points on the lopsided losses to our rivals...also a solid observation on UT not being ranked. Overall, a very unique and original thread idea. Just messin...I kid because I care...and, because everytime I think about the football team it makes me want to cry.

I cried myself to sleep Saturday night.

I told my girlfriend it was because I smashed my nuts getting into bed. . . but it was really because the Vols took the other half of my broken heart BFF necklace and threw it away.

I am starting to wonder if SEC this year has become a group of mediocres who beat each other and find a way to get into the rankings... aub lost to mis and beat fl... sc beat ky and lost to vandy.. ten beat ga and lost to bama which lost to GA

but outside of conf... bama lost to florida state, tennessee lost to cal, auburn lost to usf but the good wins were LSU beat VT and KY beat louisville... other than that there hasnt been a big non conf game... i think we will find more when GA plays tech, florida plays state and USC plays clemson in the closing weeks..

bama isn't good unless they play us, Auburn has no offense and can only win if their defense is playing well, and I'm not even going to mention UT. :cray:

We ran the ball against Georgia. We didn't against Bama. Our two most consistent receivers were dinged up against Bama. One of our better running backs didn't get in the game.
