Am I crazy for doing this???

I have no problem with this unless the visit was for emergency purposes. If it was a standard checkup, I admire the orange in your veins!

And that kind of mentality can lose you a big deal. Let say you're involved with convincing a corporation to sign with your firm to produce their product or buy your raw material. All it takes is for one guy to not like UT or which ever university you are flaunting. It is stupid to risk something like that. It's unprofessional.

I'm not talking about customers at best buy or some retailer. I'm talking about people who are spending real money for the long term and if you don't believe that stuff happens then you are naïve.

This is an interesting debate. I can see both sides. My question for you is wouldn't the people you do business with know that you are a Tennessee fan anyway even if you didn't paint an orange T on your forehead? If it were really that important to these people, wouldn't it come up in a conversation, or couldn't they google you to see where you went to school? I'm just saying that if it's that important and a possible dealbreaker, wouldn't they do some due diligence?

First impressions are everything. Appearance is everything. Sad but true. Perception is also in the category of everything. A past experience with a single fan can alter your opinion of all fans. It's deemed unprofessional because it is A) not relevant to your job and B) can trigger that past experience which could end up costing more than desired. It also takes away from the job at hand and can ruin negotiations. I have never heard any business professor or professional deem it ok to wear team apparel as a professional dress.

Do I personally care? No. But it doesn't matter what I think. It matters what the other guy thinks and to dispute that is foolish. There are times where it won't matter. But is it worth the risk? No. Not at all. Stay away from it and it'll help ones career.

Hey guys, it's an ultrasound, and it sounds as if the intern would have been stepping in to watch the procedure. How in the hell is that an endangerment of the child?

A bunch of you need to fully analyze a post before going off making allegations of child endangerment and calling for a divorce of the couple...

I hate to say this because I love the info and humor I get from Volnation, but this thread shows the demographic that love message boards: argumentative jerks.

If you do similar in every aspect of your life you're going to have problems. Unless maybe if you live in K'ville never venture out. There are a lot of people out there who went to other schools. Even some in K'ville:whistling:

Why is a GA fan posting on vol nation don't y'all have a fan site?? Lol

We have several. And we have Vol fans as well as fans from other schools posting there. We like to get opposing points of view. It's educational.

Believe I have to agree with you.:good!:Wife and kid are more important than sports anytime. I've even missed watching games and done things with the family.

The multitude of quotes like this are killing me haha. The guy was there for a routine ultrasound.... the health of the child was in no way effected by this decision haha.

Would I have done it? No, I probably would have cracked a joke and let them do the ultrasound, but to suggest this guy thinks his team is more important than his child is slightly ridiculous.

My wife is pregnant and we were at the doctors, I refused to let an intern come in the ultrasound cause she went to florida and had a gator stethoscope . Am I crazy??has anyone else done anything like this?

Go vols go big orange

Get a grip. Next thing you know you will be poisoning the trees at Auburn.

Ok dude all rah rah stuff aside....UF is just a school and the gator is just an emblem...This is YOUR CHILD you are talking about here...My wife is pregnant as well and i'll tell you right now I do not care if the doctor went to USC and was Kiffins personal doctor, As long as they did their job and told me if there was any problems I don't care where they went to school.

I thought it was weak.

If he were a real man, he would've shoved that stethoscope where the sun don't shine.

However, the above poster is correct. Classic overreaction by the board; this was a routine ultrasound not a lifesaving interventional procedure.

Don't get crazy now....

An intern a first-year resident...they have passed boards and are MDs, but they can't really do much without the say-so of a fellow or attending. She was probably going to observe and nothing more. Therefore, there was absolutely NO child endangerment.

Having said that, yes you are still crazy.

I used to live and work in Gainesville. We had a Halloween party at work and I dressed up in jorts, wore a Tebow jersey and put in some horrible fake teeth. I came out doing the gator chomp and acting is stupid as I could(like any gator fan).

I got booed like crazy and I know that I offended a few people.....does that make me crazy?
