Putting your childs life in danger because of a logo is not crazy - it is retarded. I bleed orange but my kids are ranked way above my favorite FB team. Man if I were you wife, I would divorce you before you abused the kids.JMHO

Calm the hell down guy, its not that serious. Theres a difference in not letting a intern in the room cause of a stethoscope than not letting a doctor preform a vital procedure because they have a gator license plate.

Retarded? So without this ultrasound test, the baby's life is in danger? How so? I got it, the ultrasound has to be performed exactly by that person, exactly at that clinic, and exactly at that time, otherwise the baby's life is in danger. Someone else is retarded here?

Didn't knock anyone for being undereducated. Technically, residency starts second year. Way to go overboard on someone, though. (Note the proper use of a comma before though)

Wait, what?

I'm not trying to get into an argument but my words are hardly "overboard". Not in comparison to picking doctors, residents, or interns based on school affiliation anyways.

I'm pretty confident that a 7 year student is more intelligent than the person turning them away just because they hate Florida athletics. More intelligent than me and more intelligent than 99% of the people posting on forums for fun. Unless of course we're talking about doctors posting on medical md or whatever the site is called.

I'm just saying... turning someone away based on their school is stupid. You may even be hurting their career. Being traded for another doctor probably doesn't look good to their superiors. Hopefully they know it's because of their sports affiliation... stupid.

I'm an orthopaedics resident at UK, and I have ignorant big blue hill people get in my face all the time about my Power T scrub cap and UT pin on my coat. I just tell them that's how you know I'm good if they let me work at UK in spite of my orange. I've never had anybody tell me to leave them alone after that.

Bonus: When you pick the music in the OR, you can make the patients listen to Rocky Top while they are sleeping.

Having been a med student in Florida as a rotator and worn my UT white coat proud, I had similar encounters. While I don't agree with it, I do find it funny. Having been an intern, I can tell you that very likely minimal education was lost on this ultrasound. Now, if the OP had been from Alabama, I am sure all type of freak findings could have shown up. THAT would have been an educational moment lost. I kid, I kid. I do find it funny how mad people are getting over this.

Welcome aboard! Nice to have another orthopod on here. Oh the joys of training away. Glad I am done.

Subliminally creating UT fans. I like it.
