Myles Garrett? He has 5 sacks (same as Barnett) while playing less games due to a nagging hamstring injury.

And just wait on Jared Goff. He's having his lucky 2013 Nick Foles season. Teams are gonna figure out the tricks McVay is doing right now like giving Goff audibles in his ear cause he reads the defense. I still am 100% sure he's a bust. This is simply his Nick Foles 2013 season.

McVay doesn’t do anything else for his QB that other coaches don’t. Head sets are cut off with the QB when there’s 15 seconds left on the play clock. They are just getting lined up quicker and beating the system

We didn’t use Kamara enough when he he was here but Jones knew we needed him this past year. If Jones has Kamara this past season he would still be our coach.
No necessarily good for UT but good for Jones.

I agree with u, 810range. If Kamara and Malone both come back for their senior years, this UT team wins 7 games, at least and we get stuck with Butch for another year

Chris Simms says otherwise.

He said last week that he's never heard of a coach reading the defense after the play is called in the huddle and telling the QB what audible to go with through the headset. He said making calls at the line is what makes guys like Tom Brady special.

So you're wrong about what McVay is doing is normal. It's abnormal according to a former NFL QB.

Ok cool glad Simms said that but coaches are always signaling down to the QB what they see. It makes obvious sense to help out a young QB as he learns. as time goes by Goff will be expected to make those reads on his own.

That's college bro. In college they do all the reads from the sidelines and tell the QB where to throw the ball.

They don't do this in the NFL. QB is supposed to make the reads at the line of scrimmage rather than the QB telling you what to do.
