Alternate Checkerboard Endzones??

What do you think about gray and orange checkerboard endzones?

I voted maybe. I lean toward no actually, but I'd reserve the final judgment until I saw it (or a good mockup).

While we are at it we can have the team "run through the E" on the second game... "run through the N" on the third game ... This way we can spell Tennessee out near the end of the Season!! Also some checkerboard tassles to hang all over the goal posts.... yeah, this might work!?

Okay, ever heard of the term "cheesy"... while I Do enjoy the enthusiasm I feel too much can be done which would be... " cheesy"

I can go along with gimmicks to a certain point. Changing the orange and white checkerboards just doesn't sound right.

Yeah, those idiots Dave Hart and Nike with their stupid ideas....that have been overwhelmingly embraced by the athletes and 90% of the fanbase....have greatly increased our Athletic Department and University's exposure....have prospective recruits/athletes excited and potentially giving Tennessee a longer look/more consideration....and that will undoubtedly substantially increase AD revenue. You're right, those fools need to go back to the drawing board.

I think if I was say...Alvin Kamara and I was going into the end zone for the first time during a big game at Neyland, I would want the end zone white and orange. I think it could look pretty sweet and I really like the new helmets for the alternate uniforms but changing the checkerboards gives me a feeling kind of like if my in-laws just showed up without calling. Something just aint right about it.

They should never change the endzones. When they wear the alt jerseys maybe they could try to make some grey smokey mountains on the opposite side of the sec logos. I don't know what it would look like but it's just a new idea

I like the gray uni's for 1-2 games a year however I don't want to see the checkered end zone's changed at all.

This fanbase was split way before the jerseys. You've got the sane vs the insane. The sunshine pumpers vs the negavols. The "Woos" vs the "Non Woos"

I really love the gray uniforms and can't wait to see them worn this year but think the endzones should always remain orange & white. Go Vols!

People gripe about the grass now. Keep changing paints on it and see how long it doesn't live.

Just throwing this out there.
What about orange and white checkerboards in the end zones inside of the state map.
Think that would reinforce the "One Tennessee" slogan.
This might also look good at mid-court in TBA?

They're already planning on this. For one game this season instead of having orange and white checkerboard endzones they are going to invert the colors and have white and orange checkerboards. I hope the traditionalists won't think it's too extreme.

Even though you would need photos of before and after to ascertain the difference, I personally think even that would be too extreme.

I'm shocked by the responses for the one game we wear the Gray I say bring it on!

The light Smokey Gray with the Orange would look awesome! IMO!
