They won’t do that . He is to good of coach despite his circus act
He is a great offensive coach but I doubt he can rekindle the magic at Arkansas when he had it rolling. Arky will probably upset a good team and that will be enough justification for them to keep him.

I know a few Arkansas fans and they have mixed feelings on the AD retaining him. There are a lot of bright coaches out there with much more gas in the tank than BP. Glad it’s them and not us.

At the very least it’s a decent fallback option you know you may be able to rely on. Right now it seems like it may come down to him or someone like Mullen depending on how the rest of the season goes.

What are some of names floating out there that Arkansas fans are talking about?

Petrino represents the best years Arkansas has had since joining the SEC. He is going to get the job out of that nostalgia bait and will probably win there again.

EDIT: Houston Nutt had Arkansas in Atlanta a few times while Petrino did not. However, Petrino had better win-loss and was mostly held up by Nick Saban always winning the SEC West. Arkansas was on Saban's heels those years though.

What about the Indiana coach? I’d rather see him at Arky than Florida, that’s for sure. Might be a pipe dream for Arkansas though.
