And they're in packs. All that weird noise they make while pursuing an escapee as they close in would be something else.

Not sure how they'd do in swamps though. Would probably just leave.

Put radio collars on them with cameras and sell the DVDs with the other merchandise.
this a whole new level of unhinged

I respect your opinion, Dink. I'd submit that "barbarity" (in this case) would involve the alligators being allowed inside the fence.
That would be a more direct implementation of barbarism, sure.

To bill this as being awesome because it has a carnivorous moat is smoothbrained.

Its more like being called "joking around" stuff. Or sarcasm added in for humor.
Its not meant for the loons on the left to understand or see it's humor or sarcasm.
Your not surprised some didn't get it for what it was, there are a few gray matter deficient individuals roaming this board.

i definitely aint ****ing with no gator.

Ive seen videos of people boppin em on the head and bullying em but **** that. They can still take a leg off at a minimum if they're feeling even slightly annoyed
So the threat is effective. Not ridiculous.

The only hope this country has is if the right breaks over this stuff. They're obviously being set up to be some sort of second coming of the nazis and to meet the same fate as the nazis. Instead the seems to cheerlead/be oblivious about this countries concentration camps. All I can say is immigrants aren't really a problem in this country. We get a response like this because the racist part of the white folk fear they may lose control to nonwhite minorities, whatever that means. Fear is a dead end for this country, just like this camp is.
Good Lord. Put down your phone and go the **** outside. For a month.

I don't believe I ever said it was "awesome". Potentially more effective, sure...along the lines of the real Alcatraz out west, the Cayenne penal colony down in French Guiana, and other incarceration facilities where the terrain, flora, and fauna were leveraged to improve the security of a facility. For a facility wherein the main objective is to keep people there, additional barriers to escape (whether perceived or real) is good design. Given that it appears to be colocated with an airstrip, it's probably intended to be more of a short-stay facility anyhow.

But yeah, setting up a virtual merch tent and ginning up a media circus for it is dumb.

Seems like a colossal waste of money. If they are putting violent criminals in there, why not just leave them in a jail until they are processed?
The Trump administration is going to temporarily bring in JAG judges to speed up the process. Most of the prisoners won't be there for more than 24 hours. If you have 1 judge taking 15 to 30 minutes to rule on a prisoner, that Judge can probably dispose of 20 cases per day. That means he can get 100 cases resolved in a week. If you have 20 judges working, that is 2,000 cases disposed of in a week. It will be even more, if the cases are handled via video conferencing. I would even pay the judges a bonus if they exceed a quota.

You greatly overestimate the efficiently of the bureaucracy. 3 cases a day per judge is my guess and each judge will probably be there 2 full days a week.

I’d rather the judges get it right. I’m sure that the detainees want to o get things resolved quickly but they rather it be right. The last think we need are judges that’s primary goal is not proper legal disposition. We alresdy have prosecutors making promises to “solve” crimes by gening up evidence to get a “win”

To be clear, the latter part was not directed at you. I apologize if it came across that way.

Big Aligator tears coming from the loony left caused this to happen w/their open borders policy and never said a word about it when their cult leader Biden loved it.
House Democrats Are Flipping Out About Alligator Alcatraz

Your attempt to blame the existence of that detention center on anyone except the people who chose to build it, Trump, DeSantis, Noem, and the rest of the MAGA cabinet, is definitely your most bizarre attempt at deflection.

I thought you guys were proud of it and like to say that "this is what you voted for"?

You should focus on yourself and worry less about me. You are weighed down by a lot more hatred than I am.

I just joke about it more.
That's your opinion. The only thing I "hate" is stupidity.

And I'm not worried about you, but I will pray for you to find the truth

That's dumb. Let's not purposefully introduce possibly invasive species into environments.
Agree. The scariest thing in the Everglades for me isn’t the Gators. It is the pythons that idiots released into the environment. And they endanger legal residents just the same as anyone else. Don’t mess with nature.
And a southerner, can we agree that the introduction of Kudzu was MONUMENTALLY stupid?

if AA was just for killers, I wouldn't be saying anything.

Good luck on judgment day, man. Faith won't save you alone. That's just clever marketing by pastors. You're supposed to try to be Christlike. Celebrating the denial of the American dream to people less fortunate than you is about as low as it gets.

What do you find so evil about this detention center?
