if AA was just for killers, I wouldn't be saying anything.

Good luck on judgment day, man. Faith won't save you alone. That's just clever marketing by pastors. You're supposed to try to be Christlike. Celebrating the denial of the American dream to people less fortunate than you is about as low as it gets.
They have the opportunity to leave on their own and come back the right way. Once they cross the threshhold, they are getting deported by the .gov and ain't ever coming back. They know this and choose to roll loaded dice. These are the worst of the worst because they don't want to abide by the laws. They can gtfo and never come back.

Cool shirts btw.

I can understand wanting illegals deported. What I don't get is the numerous people celebrating the shat conditions we would treat them to. Makes zero sense. WTF are you celebrating? Saw a guy on twitter who was overjoyed bc the mosquitos were bastards. That guy is a monster.
Yeah those air conditioned holding cells suck balls I'm sure.

And I also heard there were no mosquitos in Central America, so I guess you have a point.

You're saved by God's Grace the last time I checked. Nobody died & made you the speaker
for the Lord your God. Stop setting yourself up for failure & working your way to paradise. Doing your good deeds & preaching that to others is not the only path there.
He's Mormon. They made up their own rules.

i mean, gators are relatively docile lizards, dude. Attacks are rare. Its crocodiles that do most of the killing

this whole thing is just a bizarre gimmick
Would you try to walk/swim out of there?

Looks like a nicer facility than many of our soldiers have had to live in over the decades.

the point is alligators just want to avoid us, using them like a medieval lord in a mote would is ridiculous

Leveraging terrain and flora/fauna is nothing new for fortifications and incarceration facilities, and the alligators are going to be present anyhow whether there's a moat or not. It's Florida, and alligators will find an populate bodies of water (and move across land to migrate or stake new territory out). This is just using what's already there to enhance the effectiveness of the facility.

I agree it is a little on the gimmicky side at first blush, but if it improves the effectiveness as a deterrent to escape, what's the problem?

Again, would you risk it? Since you are objective and say that they really aren't a threat and this whole thing is silly, I'm wondering if you'd put your money where your mouth is. If the "threat" works, then it's it really all that "silly"?

alligators are solitary creatures, so you wouldn't see them in those numbers outside of mating season

i aint saying one of these gators aint gonna attack someone, I'm saying this ain't what these gators wanna live like. They eat snakes and birds, not big mamale. They're solitary because they don't want the smoke of pissing off a bigger gator

so we're just making a bunch of lizards miserable in order to sell T-shirts celebrating some medieval ******** gore fetish

its a circus

It must've been some other variety of alligators that I witnessed persistently hanging out in retention ponds, urban creeks, and marshes at the urban/ex-urban interface back when I lived in Florida, then. As dumb as promotional merch for an incarceration facility is (and I am with you 100% on that), it would be just as foolish to believe a) the gator population will materially suffer and leave due to the facility being there and b) they won't be present throughout the year...they may not be floating out in the middle of the water/chilling out on the bank in full view, but they'll be present. Besides...all that needs to exist for it to be a deterrent is the possibility in the mind of the detained that the danger is there. Sort of along the same line of thinking as, "Is the electric fence on, or is it off?"

My bad although the emphasis on threat was mine.

And I'm not being antagonistic, I'm just wondering if you personally would risk it.

I have a regular 7 footer in my pond, and I ain't swimming there

Do you think the Nazis wore concentration camp merch?

This **** is not as bad as the Nazis, but being the grossest people of your time is enough.

What's it like to have no humanity?
You're killing me Smalls. I agree that celebrating naming a facility like that is cringe, and selling merch for it is worse, but it is far from being the grossest people of our time.

We have people that think it is okay to kill folks for being gay. Kill women for wanting to be more than possessions. We even still support slavery.

The only hope this country has is if the right breaks over this stuff. They're obviously being set up to be some sort of second coming of the nazis and to meet the same fate as the nazis. Instead the seems to cheerlead/be oblivious about this countries concentration camps. All I can say is immigrants aren't really a problem in this country. We get a response like this because the racist part of the white folk fear they may lose control to nonwhite minorities, whatever that means. Fear is a dead end for this country, just like this camp is.

Indeed. As a matter of fact, it looks like Florida is looking to utilize part of Camp Blanding, just west of Jacksonville, for another facility. Some pals of mine stationed at Moody AFB would talk about training down there, and didn't have many positive things to say about it (plus, it's in Starke...the mosquitoes, ticks, and boredom are likely more lethal than the alligators).

Seems like a colossal waste of money. If they are putting violent criminals in there, why not just leave them in a jail until they are processed?

Mostly it's for theater. Why would you try to come here illegally knowing you risk ending up there?
This really opens up opportunities for B Movies. Attack of the Anaconda, Monster Gator, Mosquito-nado, oh and some women's prison themes too.
