that Tennessee fans wanted, but was stuck on the bench by the coaches and actually succeeded when he did play? You all are the same ones who thought...

-Brandon Warren was going to be great and was getting a raw deal.

-Was wondering why we couldn't give Kenny O'Neal at least a reverse or two since he was so spectacular in summer workouts.

-Thought Brent Vinson should be put in at WR because he was a great playmaker.

-Wanted Brandon Stewart to start instead of the other freshman....ugh, can't remember his name. Paul....Manny....Peyton? Something like that.

Seriously, we do this crap every year. Some guy is getting the shaft from the coaches and would be All-American or lead us to the Sugar Bowl or something if he would just play. Stephens and the "he couldn't be worse" crowd are just continuing their theme. They forget that we tried this already and, yes, he was worse.

This group of Tennessee fans has proven itself to be wrong every time and I see no reason why Kiffin should give in to them now. Besides, they are the same ones who make a big deal about giving up their tickets now, but will be there in two years when we are a top 10 team dressed in orange head to toe.

Don't necessarily disagree with your post but an obvious example is Jamal Lewis as a freshmen.

I don't understand why we ran the Nuke gun one time and got a huge gain, and then forgot it was in our playbook.

The reason I put this in this thread is because Nuke deserved more playing time than he got.

Its pretty simple. For the reminder of this year the product may be more marketable with some variety introduced. The current offense may not sell anymore. I know many who stopped buying that version as of last night.

Some of whom are probably the same ones who have become "Diehard" Colt fans as well.

Agreed, great point.

Probably but Kiffin was trying to get Crompton in a rhythm so thats probably why he didn't do more. I also like the name, Pahokee Package better because we are showing a talent-rich team some love and could bring in another Pahokee star to continue to role (if the Wildcat fad lasts that long)

You can't compare our current QB situation to anything in recent UT memory. Many of you try but you waste your time doing so. This is as bad as it gets for a TN starter. It's like apples and oranges. We are in new territory and it requires drastic measures. As for the title. I dare say there are no Stephens lovers here. Rather, just frustrated fans wanting a change to see if it's any better. Can it really get worse? We are losing aren't we?

Andy Kelly replacing Sterling Henton turned out pretty well.

Ok, I give you a lot of crap, but that was a good one.

I don't consider Jamal Lewis a good example because the coaches obviously thought he was good, but kept him out for a few plays in one game. He wasn't sitting on the bench because the fans thought he was great and the coaches didn't want to play him.

That Peyton guy ended up with a few completions after stepping in for Todd Helton 1994.

Most of the counters people have posted involve players that had yet to get into the game and show what they can do. Stephens has done that. It wasn't impressive.

But, this is just ridiculous logic. Why would Kiffin play someone he knows is, at least, as bad as Crompton and probably worse? So, he can say that we suck, but at least we tried something different?

Well, if that's the case, why not play Lamaison? Why not just start every freshman? At least we would've tried something different. No, you play the players you think will give you the best chance to win and Kiffin is doing that. His options just suck.

An offensive lineman could have done as well as JC at times in the first half.

Steve Alatore- replaced by Alan Cockrell two games into the season- then Alatore came back 2 weeks later after Cockrell tore his knee up.

After the initial QB change, we lost 2 games and finished 8-4
