the 1989 game against Auburn had multiple highlights by itself:
the Cobb-Webb attack full frontal assault highlighted by Charles McCrae pancaking a linebacker on Cobb's 72 yard touchdown
and Marion Hobby with 5 quarterback sacks in one game

One of my favorites is Wes Brown's interception and touchdown against Vandy in 09. Knowing the shape he was in and watching him drag the player into the endzone was awesome.

I've been watching the Vols for over sixty years and the most exciting and best finish has to have been the win over South Carolina in Butch's first year. Majors, Dickey, and Battle had their moments, but none like that for me.

On a more somber note, Dooley's win over LSU had me jumping up and down at the end of the game. And then. . . .

You can blame me for that. After we won I said "They are worse than us". Boy was I wrong. After we lost a dog ate my brother's victory cigar.

Go Vols!

That was my first game! Herman Lathers had 13 tackles and I was sure he would be a stud.... Smh

03' Miami..... 4th down tied 3-3. Tinsley reverse touchdown to
Go up 10-6.... Then finally the famous colquitt punt causing a fumble and Tennessee to close out the upset lead by iceman.

We drove down for that game. Derrick Tinsley so fast. Seeing their fans so mad was great.

Hey macrovol,
Your one and two hits me right in the middle. I was in the student section that day in 1959 when Charlie Severance stopped Billy Cannon on the two point try to preserve the win over number 1 LSU. I was also in the stands Jan 1 1967 :hi: when Paul Neumhoff met Csonka in the middle against Sycaruse late in the game--stood him up with a bang heard all over the stadium. Neumhoff made a name for himself that afternoon and turned it into a good career with the Lions for several years.
