S&W classic frame revolvers are about as good as they get. Their polymer semiautomatic handguns are quite serviceable and well made, especially for the price. I know there were some issues with the earlier M&P/Shield platform, but I believe they have been ironed out. I have a Shield EZ that I ordered for my wife, and I think it shoots great. My only complaint would be the limited mag capacity.

I have not shot any of their AR-platform rifles, but they look fine and I haven't read any real criticism. I am considering getting one of their new lever action 1854s, but they are a little on the pricy side and there is a lot of debate about the trigger. They look really nice and are apparently good shooters.

It does help to have an employee connection or two, as far as pricing goes :)

I picked up some ALTS a couple weeks ago at the suggestion of a friend. Up 38% since, but I'm having trouble finding a whole lot of info online to back up his claim that they could really take off longer term.

Losing $0.80/share. 10 employees. The CFO was replaced 2 weeks ago. Hardly any institutional ownership. CFRA has a sell rating and their risk evaluation is high. 3 year and 5 year compound annual growth rates are negative. However they have been around for almost 50 years. It’s almost a billion dollar company, so they would probably be well known on Wall Street.

Sounds like either a) I caught lightning in a bottle and should sell and be thankful, or b) it would be a miraculous event should they take a meteoric rise to relevance.

Think I'll choose a) tomorrow.

That all sounds extremely positive.

Curious as to their struggles. Does the under-age 40 crowd not buy many guns anymore? More supply than demand...?

My family has passed the basic small game hunting guns down thru generations. Everything mostly still works for what we need, so no real need to buy new. Living in relative safe rural TN.

Get it. I love mine. I still need to get a wheel gun to match

Get the BodyGuard 2.0 (or Shield Plus)
