All things STOCKS

Think BA has more issues than just the Max although I'll admit, the current price is a bit tempting

Their order book continues to shrink. I think the future of air travel has changed considerably. I think leisure travel will bounce back to pre covid levels long before business travel recovers. That's not to say that business trips will be forever cancelled, but businesses have now seen the cost efficiencies of video conferencing. Some business travel will return, but I think there are some job functions and meetings that will be handled remotely going forward. This will impact the legacy carriers more than the discount carriers. I think Allegiant, Alaska, and Spirit may be better plays than Delta, United , and American, but fewer planes total will be a negative for Boeing long term. The defense aspect has value, but I don't yet have enough conviction on anything air travel related to be invested at this point.

It's at least a 50% chance we get a Biden presidency and that wouldnt be good for Boeing...

More evidence coming out that those "whistle blowers" were straight up lying to short millions. I feel pretty comfortable with it right now.
Yea that's what I meant. When I said all my chips it's my balance and some off my gains that's not invested. I was wanting in at 1.90 last Monday and it never dropped to there. This price is a steal.

I hope they get sued. They did the same to GNUS. It's one thing to short a stock but to spread a video from 2019 around saying it's now should be criminal.

Luckily my funds settled over the weekend from my KTOV winnings on Thursday. I transferred some more from banking on Sat. but they haven't been cleared yet.

I don't like this one bit, at least for those airlines in particular. Seems like a desperation move on their parts since both companies have questions about whether they can stay afloat if the pandemic continues on for several more months.

I have about 60k mileage points on a United Visa CC. I'd be pretty pissed if I lost that.

If you have a Chase card you might consider their card that gives you points that you can transfer to several airlines or hotel chains.
Or a cap one card that pays you 1.5% back. That is probably worth more than miles.
The Points Guy is a good website to read about miles.
I have 200,000 AA miles, and will dump their CC soon.

Yeah I love the perks on my card though. I searched the Points Guys and Nerd Wallet and several other sites when choosing my card. United had the best all around perks at the time, unless I wanted to shell 450/year for Chase Saphire Reserve. If I flew more frequently, I would definitely have the Saphire Reserve. As it stands with my United card, I get 2x miles on travel and restaurants. Plus a global entry/TSA pre-check credit fee that I haven't been able to utilize yet b/c of COVID. Plus free checked bags and United Club passes, and skipped the annual fee on the 1st year.

I also considered Mariott Bon Voy, since my wife pretty much only likes to stay at Mariott when we travel, lol. Perks were decent enough, but just not on par with the United card.

Did this actually happen though?

At this point, IDEX has released several bits of evidence refuting the claims of Hindenberg and J Capital. And I've yet to see a shred of evidence backing up when Hidenburg annd J Capital are claiming. In fact, Hidenberg has history of putting out false articles to short a stock.

Got back in KTOV at $1.28. Up big so far.

Edit: Well it was, lol. Still in the green as of this writing though.

IDEX may break my average today and have me sitting in the black. Got in late around 3.50 originally. Bought in at 1.70 this morning which brought my average down to $2.74.
