All things STOCKS

I've got a question. Seems like the apps have trouble with what's going on in AH or at night. Any particular site you all can suggest that's more real time?

When I settled the short for CHK, the price was $19.80. I figured a Vol message board would get a kick out of that...

England doesn't want North Americans and North America doesn't want the British. It is a pandemic issue. Travel restictions.

Queen Mary and QA typically make 7 day crossings across the pond for older guest. Many of them prefer that to flying. Cunard is za fairly upscale old fashion cruise line.

Carnival and the people that typicaly sail with them have no problem sailing. I don't think they will be sailing to Europe before this fall.

You not think international flights will be back and forth from Europe by November?

I'll never see a slam dunk like HD in the 140s or YUM at 55 again....

I bought YUM in the 63s days before it went to the mid 50s. It's always nice for the ego to see a 13% drop right after taking a position. It turned out to be a really nice trade. It's easy to shoot the fish when they're in the barrel.

I've considered starting one. Post something in here that's not about short term swing trading and it quickly gets lost after a few dozen posts on the short term, Penny Stock "bets". If there is a discussion on a post and it's splintered with the trading interest. But I figure the overwhelming interest in the trading will go away as soon as the markets settle down. It says All Things Stocks but has become Only Things Trading.

@ me wherever you end up posting. Some days I enjoy the clutter in here, and some days I scroll past the noise. There are a few posters in here that I'll stop to read any time. I enjoy your insight both here and in the politics stock thread.

@VolAllen anyone have information about OPES which is set to acquire burgerfi and FMCI which in September will become one of the biggest meatless protein vegan companies out there

Beautiful work here, but I originally read AAL as AAPL. That would take some stones.

It was a crazy day

As readers of this thread know, I'm anti-AAL. There's no way that stock is worth $21 right now or 10% more than the end of Feb.

HTZ is nuts. They literally filed for BK protection. I knew it was going down eventually but I expected it to take a while and to be a little bumpy.

CHK's auditors gave them a going concern opinion and the stock price increased to $73. Same thing with HTZ. I thought it was going to take a while. I did get lucky on the timing.

There's nothing wrong with that. Use gift cards and go twice

It's more money that I can put into the market. Here's a couple other helpful hints to put money into the market without changing your lifestyle.

1. Cell phones, home security, subscription services, TV packages, home internet are always negotiable. Get those on a cycle and negotiate savings by asking for "Retention Department". Say that you are switching to (fill in competitors name) due to price. Whatever you save, invest in the market in your preferred form of investment.

2. I've lost 40 pounds over last 2-3 years so I re-shopped term-life insurance. Saved $$$$ and put those savings in the market. If you go a couple of years without a car accident/home insurance claim, you can shop those and save. Put those savings into the market.

From Zerohedge:
"Robin Hood investors who heard about something called FANG stocks and instead of buying the 4 tech megacaps... ended up buying worthless Chinese real estate company FANGDD (ticker DUO), sending its stock price from $10 to $130 in four hours, and pushing its market cap just shy of $4 billion!"

Unreal.

I believe they will resume this fall, but no one knows.
I'm not so confident a out cruise ships be able to visit some ports.
I had flights booked from Nashville to Rome on October 27. United isn't flying now, and they changed our flights to go through Houston . I cancelled.
Some of the countries we were going g to visit aren't open yet.

The $$$$$ is going to be on the short side of these runups...
