Light tackle, 42" 40+lb plus range. I knew it was a cobia as soon as she hit it.
They have such a unique profile in the water. I've caught jacks in the 15-18 lb range, this girl kicked my ass. she's a donkey.
think she may be pregnant. that belly was massive, like a bowling ball. said it's the biggest he's ever landed on his boat.
Before he handed me the spinning reel, he asked if I wanted the fly rod. I said no. She wouldve taken a fly, but ill be honest thats insanity. Not sure I wanted any of that today.
