Edwards should've never played for UT. There's is absolutely little to no defense in the RTL. Cam Tatum looked like Michael Jordan in the RTL.

Yeah we know none of them can play, it's the Rocky Top League. That's the mantra of the critics. Guys, I got news for you. If you are a Vol fan you are supposed to be encouraging their play not saying it means nothing because its summer ball. What you are are "faux" Vol fans. You just think you like Tennessee. It's all a mirage.

I'm going to have to break out my true fan handbook on this one, but I'm pretty sure everyone, including the players, know that RTL performance isn't any indication of real world performance. Like another poster mentioned, ask Cam Tatum. :)

I enjoy the RTL as much as anyone, but it's a practice. You're the first person I've ever known to take it this serious. The players don't even take it this serious. Just enjoy it for what it is, it's no indication of how a player will perform once the games count.

I encourage them to make it thru without an injury. It means nothing.... Good runs at the park mean more.

You realize DT said there is nothing that happens in the RTL that resembles what will happen in regular season games.

The head coach himself said the RTL means nothing.

“It’s fun for the fans. That’s about it, basketball-wise,” the coach said. “I mean, again, it’s a great league, it’s well-run, I think it’s fantastic for our community. But there’s nothing happening in those games that’ll happen when we play in the SEC. There’s just no similarities whatsoever.”

Tyndall: Rocky Top League is fun, fine, not college hoops

I have to admit that I was thinking this thread would be about Lopez, but I will give credit where credit is due. Lopez was mentioned twice in the Times Free Press article, but SeniorDrill didn't bring him up.

I agree with what Tyndall is trying to say there, but the way he worded it makes it sound like we won't be playing basketball. :)
