All The Vegas "Experts" Picking UF

I just hope the wind isn't taken out of the sails so early in the season. They could've/should've played better against AP last week. Maybe that's what's making this trip down to Florida worrisome. UT has had better teams and come away with losses several times. The Swamp is no place to go for a team trying to prove something.

A lot of people are low key picking Florida, or at the very least picking Florida to cover.

For whatever reasons, many of which I think this board has argued to death this week, the narrative on Tennessee has turned. Going all the way back to the start of the 2022 season, the narrative has been "you better score often against Tennessee, because they will score on you." That's changed, and it started Monday or Tuesday of this week. There's a growing sentiment of "the offense isn't on track this year," and it's going to take a demonstrative win to shift that narrative back in Tennessee's favor.
which is funny because literally no one had that idea when Alabama only won 34-0 against them last year or when UGA had an off day against Kent State last year. Tennessee HAS to be perfect.

Most concerning thing to me is the time this game starts.
Coach Heupel has said he doesn't like late games and unfortunately his record as HC shows that...more losses than wins in night games.

I think it a perfect opportunity for this team. Win, and everything is right there in front of them.

Lose, and at least we know early that the goal is a bowl game…and that wouldn’t necessarily affect the long term trajectory of the program.

Mark Lawrence picked Florida to Win, Sports Reporter too, MOF, every Handicapping service has Florida as their Underdog Play; and with good reason considering the stats & trends, Ut has an abysmal record vs uf, even when fla sucks (last year's close game should have been a blowout) and especially @ Uf. Joe & Company CAN change that, if they just play like they are capable. Night game down there with all the loud drunks, going to be a challenge. This game will define Tennessee's season; and more. Hang in there guys and GO VOLS!
I pick Tennessee what does that mean, i think i am a so called expert.

When did he say this? Our most impressive offensive performance in his first year was probably Kentucky at night. Our most impressive defensive performance in his 2nd year was DEFINITELY Kentucky at night and the maybe best overall game last year was Clemson at night.

Nine times in row down there and the fact Tennessee has had the better team before like they do this time and still managed to lose the game. Probably the reason why. They look at history and trends. Both favor Florida.
Did they have better coaches?

I'm done even trying to predict what's gonna happen... Florida could pull an upset, or we could crush them by multiple scores... neither outcome would surprise me at this point. Just comes down to... well, you guys already know. ;)

Line opened at FL +8.5. So it has moved a couple points so appears people were taking FL and the points.

If you watch interviews with the coaches and players this week, everyone seems loose and ready to ball out. All the pressure is on FL to avoid a losing season and a possible coaching change. TN is just there to prove history is fiction and the past is not the future. All this bs about "haven't won in the swamp for 20 years" is BS Loserthink. I, for one, am glad the coaches and team don't give a ratsass about that idiotic stat. Fans shouldn't either.

TN by 2+ TDs

I did an analysis a year ago about this time regarding Florida vs. Tennessee. There are actually very few seasons where Florida was actually the weaker team and beat Tennessee.

The seasons where Tennessee arguable had a better team were 2014, 2015, and 2021. Even then, 2014 was a push year as well.

Every other year, Tennessee was inferior to Florida.

This year, Tennessee has a superior team. We will see but this might be the most lopsided I have seen the two teams since... wait for it... 2003.
There were also seasons such as 2002 and 2005, where Tennessee began the season ranked higher, but then proved to be overrated later on.

Its the safe bet honestly, if you are betting money.

CJH in Away games is 5-4
CJH at Home is 12-3

His teams do not have a great track record of winning on the road yet. Keyword YET.

I wouldn't touch this game .... but I understand taking Florida and the points.

However, that's a silly rationale from such a small sample of games.

JMIII said he does not loose in Florida. Good enough for me. I have been watching this game every since Spurrier started coaching there. Never fill good about it until it's over and the Vols win.

If we played them 10 times..........
We would win by 10+ four times.
We would win by less than 10 three times.
We would lose three times.
