If the chili is a soupy consistency like souces (especially with all the crap extras he adds), is it still chili or just a hearty soup?
I gotta have my light red kidney beans. The recipe I do I use those, but they've gotta be Luck's brand.I guess if you wanted to get technical, Hman would be right. Chili started out as a stew of meat and spices. So chili is actually the name of a stew.
IMO if it has chili peppers or chili powder in it, its chili.
**Interesting, the Official Chili Appreciation Society says no beans are allowed to be used in an official chili cooking competition.
Any of you wear Cologne? I have worn Polo Green (pine) since I was 18. Sometimes I like Sport, Crest and Black just for something different. Since I quite smoking I haven't been usingu it much at all.
Anyway, I tried the new Blue today and bought a bottle. The new Ultra Blue was nice too, but the Blue is really nice.
Just in case anybody was dying to know that. There it is.
Red!!!!!Hope you are feeling well, PrincessHello it’s Red again...taking a shot at being social. I can normally be found with my head in a book, cooking gardening or walking sooooo I thought I’d involve myself on a thread or two....
That being said as a reason for my absence....Behr I am trying g to learn to cook seasonal vegetables that are out of my wheelhouse. It is fall and I have picked up some of these carnival pumpkins.
I have seen recipes on Pinterest but what do you suggest? (I have already taken pie pumpkins and made purée and roasted pumpkin seeds)

Wazzup guuurl? Lol. Glad to hear you're doing well, I see Slices posts about you and I have sent prayers in your name. I believe God listens.
I don't have much to offer on those, I know they make an interesting soup if you're into that kind if thing, which I'm not. Even though you've done pie, I highly recommend a cheesecake, boom! They are really good. A friend of mine makes pumpkin pancakes and a pumpkin vinaigrette. I don't know how invested you are, but you could have some fun with any of those.
Lemme know if I can help if you decide to try something, or if you come up with something else.
Ok I will try some new stuff. I have made a pumpkin roll with it and it was really good and an experience trying to get the rolling right
Do you preserve food? I love to can stuff or freeze or dehydrate.
I have just made some delicious apple butter, which I have recently discovered tastes AMAZING on a grilled turkey sandwich!
