Fortunately I have avoided those, I have seen a few in Hawaii. We were at a beach, or a beach bar, on the Big Island and someone was screaming at the top of their lungs to watch out for them. We saw one. Which is odd.

My middle girl had one wrap around her leg when she was around 4-5. Her leg turned so red with welts. She has a few scars from it, scared us. I didn't even know what it was, but a local guy saw it and told us.
