What gross mistake

I saw Demeco Ryans and not Al Wilson at LB. I reacted before I saw Low's "played 2 years within the BCS era" statement.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but I agree with you. The Vols I could think of were just outside of the 2 years played in BCS era "rule".

Don't know who had the better stats in college and even thought he played for the enemy, but I take Julio Jones over AJ Green.

And David Pollack makes the list...hmmm.

I love mcfadden and thought he was a great player but they didnt really win anything - i would have put Jlewis in

Al wilson over one of the LB's on that last is a no-brainer - i dont care how many years he played during BCS era - he led a team noone thought could win it at the start of the year to an undefeated national title - he is on the team

witten should be on the list.

i would have both mark ingram and trent richardson over alexander and that's just backs from bama.

matt stinchcomb belongs nowhere near that kind of list

Yeah Tebow would still be ahead of Manning for sure, but what you just wrote is complete garbage.

i know for some of you, you'll never acknowledge it.

but, danny wuerffel was a better college qb than peyton manning.

whether you want to use statistics, awards, championships, etc, etc.

whatever metric you want to use, wuerffel was better.

DW got better coaching and play calling. To stand them side by side and say DW is better, equal, or even the one you want is quite a stretch. DW racked up some good numbers though. But over Peyton?

Don't confuse future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning with 1994-97 Peyton Manning who crapped the bed against UF on the game's biggest stage. To stand Peyton and Danny's college accomplishments side by side, there is no comparison.

Wuerffel was a better college QB.

Witten and Wilson are obvious oversights for UT.

You can make an argument for Felix Jones or Brandon James over Arenas at KR/PR, but I think Arenas had more TDs than those guys over his career.

seeing as how wuerffel was sec player of the year in 1995 and 1996, i would assume peyton manning wasn't even 1st team all sec until his senior year.

At first glance, I thought that Richardson should be in over Alexander. But thinking back, Alexander was Bama's offense in the late 90s. At least Bama had the ability to throw the ball while Richardson was there.

Not calling you out specifically, but I think this is blown out of proportion. He doesn't play defense, and when you're scoring 37 and 29 points, you're giving your team a chance. Not what I would describe as awful play or choking.
