All of a sudden, I love Steve Spurrier!

Dear Lord, the OBC is getting senile! Bet he never thought those words would come from his lips lol.

But really, pretty easy to see why Spurrier, especially, would be high on Huepel. Its like he has invented the Fun and Gun 2.0

Spurrier being a Heisman winning QB himself, there really is so much in common between them - EXCEPT JOSH HEUPEL IS NOT AN AZZHOLE TROLL WE LOVE TO HATE like Spurrier was.

I will NEVER say I love Steve Spurrier but I sure can say I MISS him. :)

Fortunately, we got his essence reborn into Josh.

Coach Heupel reminds me a lot of a 1980s-1990s Bobby Bowden

I think Spurrier wanted to come to the UT. But the coach at the time (Bowen?) insisted on running what Steve considered an outdated single wing offense. Then the coach sort of insulting him by saying, "Change the offense for just one player? NO!" So Steve went further south, and the rest is history. The UT coach of the time was not unlike a pre-Pruitt, Pruitt in terms of being stubborn and more than a bit egocentric.
