i agree with you by his stats. right at 5k yds, 53 td's compared to only 11 ints is pretty impressive. lot fewer ints than his predecessor

i've seen him twice and he is impressive.. i just wonder if part of it is the so called "system". i'd love to see him regularly against better talent. and on a field w/out all those swirling winds too.

he's got some character issues that NFL GM's should be wary about.... he could be a ciminal headline waiting to happen.

brennan was kicked out of Colorado b/c he broke into a girls apt (or dorm) at night while she was sleeping and assaulted her (i *heard* he also molested her too... but that is hear-say)

Yeah, God knows there are nothing but altar boys in the NFL.

and he spent 7 days in jail after his incident... and he is still in the middle of serving his 4 years of probation...
AND he was a backup to Matt Leinart in high school.

I read the story on ESPN a few months back, but i will try to google something about the incident. Most stories take the angle of "football star overcoming a past mistake" and then continue to buffer over the cold hard facts. i'll find something for you tho

The HATED ESPN had a Gameday segment that told his story. He was a toubled kid before he got to Colorado.

wow. thanks chatt, dave, and matt for the info. i did not know that. however, like hat says, lots of "choirboys" are currently playing in the nfl. if he puts up the numbers and stays clean til next year, he'll be fine. if he screws up and keeps getting arrested like marcus vick, well, that's his stupidity

yes, he should be more like michael. I wonder if Colt Mexico has anything he should tell us?

who? Meach? that was out of nowhere. Jarret missed practically 3 games due to injury and still put up 800+ yards receiving and 10 TDs.... did Meach do better? tentatively, yes.... not a whole lot better, though.

Is there some need to perform a "whole lot better" to win votes / awards?

Some of the picks the AP made were odd to say the least. Zbikowski did not have a great year by any standards. I would have given the 3rd team safety spot to Josh Gattis.

Also, Quentin Moses being on the 3rd team is laughable. He wasn't even the best DE on his own team this year, and it really wasn't even close.

It almost seems like they put alot of guys in based on their preseason expectations.
