He did play against VT in the 4th Q
Pretty sure he hasn't taken a snap yet this year. When I pulled that information above from UT Athletics web site it was all goose eggs for think years contribution including time played. I don't have any first hand info just going by those stats. I do believe he has dressed out tho.

I am glad he has been cleared of any charges..something about his whole situation and the timing of the accusation, did not seem kosher to me.
But like with anything of this nature, I with hold any judgement either way until the courts get to the truth.
I hope he is good enough to help the team out
at this juncture he's a redshirt.
I'm not real impressed with the DTs they've got committed. look more like developmental projects. Johnson should be able to step in to replace O'Brien, which is only sr. He was the top juco DT. a year in the S&C and you'll have strong depth next year.
He's listed as playing in the VT game on the UT sports site.
First Game Action As Vols
Five players made their playing debuts as Vols vs. Virginia Tech, including true freshmen Carlin Fils-Ame and Taeler Dowdy, redshirt freshmen Venzell Boulware and Darrell Taylor, and transfer Alexis Johnson.
UT-VT Postgame Notes - University of Tennessee Official Athletic Site
At one point his UT bio listed 1 game played, now it lists none. Unless we are really hurting at DT, I could see the staff trying to redshirt him. It's easy for them to materialize an injury if a guy only plays a few snaps in order to get a redshirt.
Vols DT Alexis Johnson had misdemeanor assault charge
dismissed today in Knox Co. General Sessions Court, said his attorney Greg Isaacs.
Earlier, Johnson's charge of false imprisonment was dismissed.
Hes been cleared by criminal court and UT. He has yet to play this season.
