Alexis Johnson arrested (merged/updated 4/21)

No. I do care about due process in general. You just won't see me posting about it everyday cause I'm not fake. I'm actually gonna be honest with myself and admit the only reason I care about this kid is cause he's a potentially good football player for my favorite team.

If he wasnt a football player I would still say he should get due process. I just wouldn't really care about it that much since his future wouldn't really affect me.

Here is where you are wrong dude. You clearly were hypocritical about the situation, and then called other posters, clowns.

This, my friends, is what is wrong with the world today.

Hey....at least he's honest, I guess.

Proof that he caused it and it wasn't obtained in some other manner. If it's actually choking bruises, then that is certainly damning, but we don't know for a fact what they were.

Why do you treat this case as a prosecuting attorney? You seem to allow for no leeway on what you believe to be facts of the case. The actual facts of the case have yet to be presented. What we have is speculation.

That wasn't my intent. I'm sorry you interpreted it that way. I'm not a prosecutor-- don't even play one on TV. I have responded to questions and posts directed to me, many of which have been legal in nature. The only issue I'm raising is concern with the manner in which UT handles this allegation, both as a matter of policy and as an indication of how the university treats players accused of crimes against women. The university, athletic department and football program will be scrutinized and judged with a Title IX lawsuit in process.

My position has been that I hope CBJ handles the matter consistently-- as he has with Lane, AJ, Williams, Jones, Pearson and Paulk. This case has similarities to Paulk, so there would be precedent for handling it that way, if CBJ felt the incident merited that resolution. What happens to Johnson is up to the criminal justice system.

This is on VQ. Supposedly he has been kicked off the team. Rumor that it was due to an incident with a female.

Congratulations on admitting to being lame as hell.

There's nothing "wrong" with what he said. We don't know Alexis Johnson from Adam. How can you expect any of us to care about him on a personal level? I certainly don't wish for anyone to be sexually assaulted, nor do I wish for anyone to be falsely accused. However Alexis' family, friends, coaches, etc. Those are the ones who should care about him. Not random internet strangers.

How about caring about all people?

I don't wish anything on anyone that is a life altering change in a negative way

Jackwagons gonna do their thing in here.

It's ok to have a genuine care and concern for others. Just because it does or doesn't impact me, shouldn't matter, I should still want the best for them.

If this young man and young woman learn from this and are better for it, result.

If they both think they can continue "business as usual", that is really sad for them.

Don't get me wrong, I want the best for the Vols, but there is a bigger picture. This drama doesn't help anyone or anything, unless lessons are learned.

Alexis allegedly bloodied her lip, while giving UT another bloody nose.

The bigger problem is the only reason any of us on here even are aware of it, is because he is a UT football player, I wonder how many incidents like this occur that we never hear about. That's the cold hard truth, that very few want to address.

But only a Jackwagon would say they don't care about the rest since it doesn't impact their team.

You can bet this isn't the first time this young man has had issues with women [if all this true] and you can bet if it isn't headed off now it will only get worse. If it isn't true and he doesn't learn a lesson from it then I have no sympathy. I hope for the best for him and the young lady.

Outside of his future affecting him in some way?

If he's got Greg Isaacs representing him the charges will likely be dropped. DA's generally want zero part of that guy. He's probably the most influential defense attorney in TN.

So, all of the members of the judicial system Tremble and Skulk when this Greg Isaacs dude is representing a defendant?

Somebody is living in a make believe world.

If there's not enough evidence to take to trial, they do.
Seems to me that it's a flimsy case.

Edit: I've known people that he's represented in DUI cases and he's won every time. Those are really tough to win these days.
