Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Let's hope Pete wins the nomination.
Since most recent elections have been more about voting “against” candidates than “for” candidates, Pete would actually stand a chance. Brashest, and Ossef both have mud puddles being created for them

I think the major players for democrats run fir potus will include Jon Ossoff, Andy Beshear, Pete B. I just think(hope) America is tired of ultra wealthy senile old men.
I agree with all of those except Pete. Disaster at DOT as @Orangeburst said, doesn't have AA support as @Rickyvol77 said, and his background as a McKinsey consultant hurt him too when he ran the first time.

I think another guy to watch out for, not in 2028 but probably later, is this James Talarico. He will probably scare off more secular Dems, but the class rhetoric is appealing and he's a very effective communicator. His problem is that he's going down the Wendy Davis/Beto route of trying to win a statewide office in Texas as a Dem, and that hasn't been good for future political careers there. He, also like Beto, tries too much to be an Obama clone at times in terms of how he speaks/delivery. Pete does that too.

I do like the way Talarico communicates and I would support him, I don't know that he has the star power yet.

As.for Pete I don't think a lot of people follow what happens inthe DOT.

People who pay attention and vote in the primaries do. There was a bunch of negative transportation-related stuff that got media attention during his time there (the 2022 flight cancellations, Norfolk Southern train wreck, Baltimore bridge collapse) that even if it wasn't directly his or DOT's fault, it looked bad. If he won the nomination, no, it probably wouldn't matter in the general unless an October surprise scandal was discovered or something.

Talarico needs to win this upcoming Democratic primary against Crockett and then, at the very least, give Cornyn a serious run for his money in the general if he wants to keep up the momentum. Although Beto did just that in 2018 and his momentum floundered after that.

I've gone through the McKinsey program if it's the same one. I thought it was good.

Well, bud, the race is a long way off.
You must not be aware how politics work...

The Dem Leadership have decided they want Newsome as their Presidential candidate and some mix of Talarico/Beshear/Shapiro as VP because they think they need someone who is rich, white, straight, fake Christian and well-known to offset how bad they lost all normal males last election

However their problem is the anti-Jew/DSA faction won't accept Shapiro and see Newsome as too pro-Israel, and the black faction (including Clyburn in SC) won't vote for them because they want Kamala to run again with AOC as a VP.

So the Dem Leadership is doing everything they can to minimize the Kamala/AOC/Crockett types to clear them out of the way (see Colbert this week)

Their internal polling is scaring the sh*t out of them and their fundraising except for Hoffman/Soros has decreased a lot after ActBlue/NGO money laundering dried up

In your eyes maybe.

You can't be that dumb, or maybe you are.

After all you are a trumplican, defender of 34 felonies, 4 or 5 affairs while married, mentioned in Epstein files a thousand times. Yep that's you.
Keep telling yourself that the Democrats were the party that ended slavery there Cinderella.

LOL

I agree about nominating old people, but there’s nothing about Ossoff that’s particularly POTUS-worthy. He’ll have a dogfight just to retain his seat.

This country is still not ready for a woman to be President. Simple fact. Neither Hillary nor Kamala could beat as sorry a person/candidate as Trump and that says it all. A ticket of Kamala/AOC would get obliterated and won’t happen. There are several D’s that I’d put in there before Newsome that could compete.

On the other side, the R’s better come up with someone other than the empty suit known as JD Vance. Personally I think Rubio may be a better candidate than anyone the R’s have offered up in years and would probably get my vote. At least he appears to have some sense unlike the rest of this administration.
