I don't think anyone is calling for coaches to get fired on either side of the ball. It's fair and valid to say that the game displayed some coaching issues that need to improve. Play-calling, tempo, clock management, short yardage calls on offense weren't great. Defensive backs obviously need help. We didn't hire a head coach or coordinators that are finished products by any means. I think they've proven more than capable of growth.
I agree. There was a lot of stank to wash out of the program this year. Given what we have seen so far I think they'll continue to improve.

Hope he learned a LOT Thursday...

He NEEDS to improve

45 points scored.... 52 points if the correct call is made in OT. Should have been even more than that if players executed and refs made correct calls.

We almost put up 700 yards of offense and 45 points.

I make more and work less...so why would I do that?
The antithesis for a winning athletic program, “you know, y’all keep busting it, I’m chill…but y’all ain’t doing it right . “We won, y’all lost…..

Small may have been injured. Whitehead evidently hasn’t shown much to warrant playing in the most critical play of the game.
Small was hurt. The play was more about timing than power - let the TE make his block then go behind him - unfortunately the TE wiffed.

And a friend once said “I have a lot of problems but money ain’t one of them”. He was right on the first part and suspect wrong on the second part as well.😂

Time management, play calling, motivating players to NOT go to sleep in the 2nd Qtr after scorching the opponent in the 1st Qtr, QB to hold on to the ball (Hooker got LUCKY a couple/few times), O-Line to be less Cheerleader and MORE Punisher...

you need more?

So, about 21 more points in Q2, 450 yards Rushing instead of 285 yards, and score at end of every Half when needed. And always look pretty doing it. OK, I’ll tell Golesh & Heupel that you need to see vast improvement in the areas you mentioned when I see them.

We all realize the coaching on Offense wasn’t perfect. Neither was the execution by the players. But, 2021 Offense was worlds better than the 2020 mess.

Over 600 yds of offense and still lose.

We need a guy like this on defense. Does Tim Banks have the right stuff to improve our D significantly?

Is Willie Martinez a secondary guru? What do we do to get improvement at LB?

It's not always just "get more bodies". What about improving the bodies you already have? Beasley, Burrell, Slaughter, Fadden, etc.

Leave should've out of it. What you meant to say was " while watching the game and drinking my last wine cooler I would have put Whitehead in on 4th and goal".
I just think Wright is easy to tackle compared to other RBs on our roster. Fast, but easy to tackle. Completely sober thought.

QFT - There was nothing at all wrong with the play call. Fant had every opportunity to pick up his assignment but missed. Had he blocked his guy, Wright would have got in easily.

I am all for holding coaches accountable, but most of our issues are about poor execution rather than poor coaching or play calling.
