Unfortunately, he and the mostly the rest of the guys he scored on will all be looking for jobs after week 3. In The 4th quarter of a preseason NFL rarely do any of the guys that are playing make the team.

Glad to see him doing well in the Titans organization, going to be really hard to make the team though because titans have several really good tight ends but maybe he can sign elsewhere if he is released.

He had a pretty solid showing yesterday. I realize it's preseason but Titans seem to be improved. It's not like they could have done anything but get better though.

His back up plan is solid so all this NFL is just gravy for him. Glad he's having fun and living his dream.

Him playing well and getting a TD does help if he gets cut by the Titans. Those guys that play in the 3rd and 4th quarters are not only trying to make the team but also showcasing what they can do for other teams if they get released. Another team might see something in the player and pick them up.
Way to go Alex Ellis and good luck.

They mean quite a bit when you're tying to make a roster. I think Ellis sticks, maybe not on the 53 but I believe the Titans keep him around.

Here it is.... forward to 4:05. Nice grab in the end zone.

Saw it on NFL network today. He also made another nice catch before the TD, and threw some good blocks in that series. Really looked good, and had the announcers talking.

Tough to predict how any team or groups of coaches and GMs will handle their cuts. Best thing a FA like Ellis can do is keep working his tail off, and make the decision to cut him tougher. He did that today.

If this game is an indication of how hard he is working, I can see him at least being kept on the Titan's Practice Squad. But I think he also got the attention of a few other teams. Alex could get a call if one of their tight ends has to go on the PUP list.

We get that. But if you ever go to Canton and look at the busts, not all of them are first round draft picks. And Ellis stood out, so give him a chance. There are busts of a few FA guys in there too. Granted, it's a long shot, but it's too early to count him out.

Hopefully, the HOF diner in 15 to 20 years will be serving crow burgers for doubters like you. So if Alex makes it, I will buy you a coffee to wash it down.
