This has been brought up in awhile but, when he transferred here he said he was hoping to get an NCAA waiver to play right away. Too my knowledge, I never heard anything else about it. Did he get one or does he have to sit out a year?

Good question I haven't heard anything about it either. If I remember correctly, wasn't it a death or illness in the family? If so, that's typically a situation the NCAA rules favorably on.

I remember that he was very highly recruited while in HS. We tried to get him along with about 20 other major programs. Sorry for his loss, but am glad he wants to be a Vol.

He has always wanted to be a Vol, but his father really wanted him to go to Notre Dame so that's what he did. I respect the hell out of him for wanting to honor his fathers wishes and then move back here to take care of his family.

couldn't notre dame themselves ok this so he can play? we do not play them this year so I doubt they could have any problem with it...

I could be wrong though, just thought it had a lot to do with where he transfered from...

Notre Dame controls whether or not we can pay for the year that he sits out, if he wants to take a scholly at UT. They've okayed it, but he may walk on anyways. Now the NCAA determines whether or not he sits out.

anyone heard if Bullard is going to have to sit out a year? This is another great pick up, our OL has went from very undersized, weak, & no depth to very talented, big, & strong in less than 2 years. Dooley & Heistand are doing a great job with the OL.

Pretty sure if ND says he can't play then he can just walk-on and play this season anyways.

He's got a new article up on rivals. I think/hope he can take the starting spot from Dallas Thomas at RT. The O-line is really shaping up to be an up and coming unit for our team.

Yes, that shows class, when a kid, especially growing up in today's environment, honors his father.

Not only did he practice, but he made some good impressions as well. Hope he is allowed to play this year. If there was a question about it, would he even be allowed to practice?
