Alex Bullard - OL Brentwood

South Bend is not the prettiest city in the country, but Notre Dame may be the prettiest college campus in the country.

I've never been there, but I have seen ND on TV/film and I've visited Princeton. I have a hard time believing that there is anything nicer than Princeton in the states and I say that as someone who has a heavy bias against all things "North".

I would agree that ND has a beautiful campus. Everything around it kind of sucks though. Touchdown Jesus is awesome

BITTER people!!!!! Grow up.

i hate ND, always have....but 90 % of student athletes rank ND ahead of UT. If he wants to follow the same fate as 98% of the recruits from Tennessee that go out of state and fail.......have fun!!!!

58% of all statistical comparisons are made up.

Bullard may end up a Vol, this show isnt over.
I heard that Doug Matthews said something to that effect on his Sunday radio show and DM is certainly in a geographic area where he would know. However, Bullard said loud and clear that he is a man of his word and this is a firm commitment. (paraphrasing from the article). The only way I see him backing out is if ND has such a bad season that Weiss is fired and, conversely, UTK has a very good season (BCS bowl bid and/or win the SEC).

So you're saying there's a chance.

Great movie BTW.

CW wont get the ax, but I cant see ND having a very good year. WHo knows what the Vols can do? I have no idea. I think if they can get Bullard to a big game we may turn him around. Ive never been to a game at ND, but I dont see how it can match 100,000+.

I have some friends who went up to the UT game and they said aside from the boring tailgating scene, the game inside the stadium was great. I think more of the mystique than anything was what impressed them, not the actual crowd or noise.

Knoxville is great for football, but a game in South Bend is something that EVERY football fan needs to experience. It is really cool.

I hope he changes his mind and goes to UT. UT should get most of the top players in the state. If he stays, so be it!

My friend, another diehard UT fan, went up for a ND game a few years ago. ND has some very cool traditions that most people don't know about. ND's stadium is tied into the campus in a way that most of the pre-game activities occur on the campus quads. The band and Irish guard (is that the name) give a concert on the steps of the golden dome and then march into the stadium. Thousands of fans follow the band in. Supposedly, it is a spine tingling experience. ND is a much smaller school, so the influx of 80,000 people onto the campus makes the place explode with life on gameday.

Anyways, college football is full of some special places and great traditions.

so you guys are saying that ND trumps the Hill for a gameday experience? I just do not believe that.

I never said that!!!!

My favorite game day universities are.....

1 LSU
2 UT
3 Univ of the South! Trust me ......fun!
4 Ole Miss
5 UF

ND is an place that everyone should experience. TD Jesus, golden dome, ect...... It is unique based on history, not atmosphere.

Nope, never said that. When it comes to gameday experiences, college football has a lot to offer. There is a lot of cool stuff out. We've become too attached trying to fit everything into a top ten list.

Again, he said his commitment to ND is solid. I am only allowing for a sliver of hope to the contrary based on his statement that he thinks the Irish will get things turned around this year. If ND proves AB wrong with thier performance and/or the coach he committed to is gone, then he might look elsewhere. I went to BA long enough to know the emphasis that they put on the honor system and being a person of integrity. Not everyone there lives up to it, but it appears AB is probably a person who walks the walk.

Hillbilly, what years did you go to BA?
