It's rough. I know it can't be easy for them to go up against the parents...and when the kid is a good student and the parents (or father at least) are apparently pushing ND over UT....I guess it happens. But, UT is not intellectual backwaters...and you can get a fine education there. Oh well...I hope he gets a good education, stays healthy, and hates every minute of ND football - to nip this "pipeline" in the bud :)

Just can't see what the draw is at Notre Dame...campus is nice, sure they have a football tradition...but it's in BFE and the girls are just plain unattractive...Sucks that we lost this guy...

I heard that it is not so much the parents with this one. Rocket Ismael met with him while in town for a speech to local alums. After the visit, Bullard was personally sold on ND.

I think that between contacts like Ismael and the local judge...he was sold on ND...but he wouldn't have been in the market if not for the parents, it seems...which is OK for him probably..just bad for us.

I don't have time to read every post on this topic, so if it's been said....sorry!

Yet another top tier player from TN that leaves the state. We should be getting used to it. But let's be honest......Besides Pat Willis (ole miss)...when has a BIG TIME prospect from Tn made any headlines out of state???? Don't give me Chad Pennington (I said big time). Forgot Michael Oher (ole miss) he is great!

Most that leave can't handle it and come back home or to a smaller school.
Wolke - ND------WKU
Sweeney- L'ville-------Tech
Golden Tate- ND--------?????? just wait, I hope TSU

This kid will be the same...he is very good, but????? I'm not sure he is UT material. I've seen him play alot. Not dominant.

"It's a good fit for me," Bullard said. "I liked the smaller campus, smaller classrooms and just how prestigious a school they are. Especially with Tennessee, it was a tough decision. I felt like me and Coach (Phillip) Fulmer had a relationship. But at the end of the day, Notre Dame was the best place for me."

Sweet little comments like this reassure me that he's really all about the academics at ND.

who else is on the board as an OL that were after...right now might be a good time to push

Damn. I really thought we would still get him. This sucks, but like rex said, there is still plenty of time until signing day
