Albert Haynesworth. The worst is over

As I understand it he had a beef that in a 3-4 defense he would'nt shine the way he would in a 4-3 defense, it's a point. However when they pay you the kind of money they paid him, and you sign the contract, you deliver or attempt to if you have integrity, when you choose to back away from your word you forfeit respect. We all make mistakes, he didn't think it through I think.

Football is but a very small part of his idiocy.

Always good to hear from insane people.

It's amazing what people will ignore just because a guy wore the orange jersey. Won't speak for you, but I think I'll remain hopeful while taking a wait and see approach. Heard much excitement with every new coach and staff since Fulmer. Albert Haynesworth....smh.

The guy that signs a big 100M contract with the Redskins and literally quits. The worst free agent signing in history.

It doesn't excuse what he did not even in the slightest way. However, if I recall right he was pissed because he was a DT who often got to the quarterback. The Skins wanted him to be a nose tackle, basically, clog up the middle. He insisted he wasn't that kind of player so quit on them when they wouldn't put him where he wanted to be. Whether I remember correctly or not, take it from the horse's mouth with this link: Albert Haynesworth blames NFL flameout on one thing Mike Shanahan told him | For The Win

Because his resume begins at UT and his failure to back a 100M contract to perform reflects directly on UT. Same as the world knows Peyton, Reggie, Witten played at UT with positive recognition as a pro. Pretty simple.

In one way his resume goes back to the days as a Red Fox in the little town of Hartsville, SC where I lived for many years and watched him play ball in high school before I finally got to relocate back to my home state. Many things about Albert I could say but I will keep my mouth shut on this site....And leave the sleeping dog alone.

So what waffle house are we all meeting at? I want to be there a little early so I can get me a patty melt and chocolate chip waffle before it goes down.

Doesn't matter as long as we eat first!

For that money? He has to be pretty close.

100 mil to not do a job? sounds like a pretty sweet gig to me, although fans of the redskins and the team probably dont look at it that way. Like said, all about perspective...
