It was tough to win at Mississippi State. These games are not supposed to be easy. And none of them will be. For us, or our opponents.

The one thing that gives me hope is we will get guys back on defense by the Bama game plus the fact our defensive line played grown ass man football in the second half yesterday. Ty Simpson showed breaks when Georgia's pass rush got him. Just glad they won at Georgia as opposed to choking to keep the possibility of them being Top 5-8 ranked team when we roll into town. Outside of his first year, Heupel has actually coached and playcalled very well in T Town.

Trap games are reserved for championship winning teams that may overlook a "lesser" opponent in favor of focusing on a so-called big upcoming game.

Tennessee hasn't won **** or shinola since 2007. We'd better be trying to merk every single opportunity we get. Kentucky should be another carcass left in our wake. I do suppose it's ok for you to worry if it makes you feel better tho.

That certainly wasn't the Bama we've been seeing, and where the heck did that TY Simpson come from all of a sudden.

Except that Georgia is more talented than both of our schools now.

our issue with Georgia has been talent. the gap has been miles wide. as we have closed that gap, we have gotten better games. this is really the first game you can say we "should" have won, and didn't. and the gap is still huge.

Georgia has been right behind Bama in the talent department. multiple of their games, seems like all of them, have come down to the end and just a couple plays where you can say Bama is in Georgia's head.

Bama is to Georgia, as Florida is/was to UT.

that is where we have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against a team we are only a little behind in terms of talent. even the wins have been uncomfortably close.

No doubt, even when we have jumped out front the last few meetings and looking good it was like Kirby was just letting us have our fun and then would yell in his headset to shut us down and get it rolling, and then it was all UGA. He essentailly still did that with Bama. He slowed rolled them to a near halt for 2 quarters. You play with what you got, and I know he had his fingers crossed after getting out of town with that win. I don't like excuses when it comes to injury, but we did lose alot against Syracuse. What's different this year is depth, and we were able to run a full 60 with kirby despite injuries. Not sure what was missing in the State game. They played us like we played UGA. Except State wasn't supposed to be able to be in that game.
