Eh. Phil did way more damage to UT than to Bama. He's good in my book.
Yep CPF fumbled that ball through the end zone for maybe the stupidest rule in football and Bama takes over on the 20 with a touch back. THAT was the game ending play , theoretically of course. And I believe it was CPF won the N.C. in 1998. JMO

1965 Alabama had the ball on the 6 yard line going in for the game winning score. Ken Stabler threw it out of bounds to stop the clock, thinking it was 3rd down. It was actually 4th down and the tide turned it over on downs. The game ended in a 7-7 tie.

1966. Gary "Wide" Wright's winning field goal was called no good. He, and many other Vols, claimed that it was, in fact, good. Bama won 11-10.

It looked good from where we were sitting.

1970 I think in Birmingham, Stabler throws the ball out of bounds to stop the clock from about the 15... problem was it was 4th down. LOL
