'26 AL EDGE Hezekiah Harris (Tennessee)

Who would’ve guessed when we hired Heupel that our defensive recruiting was almost if not better than our offensive recruiting 😂
And Heup had to overcome a slimy negative recruiting spiel that one could never have a good defense with Heupel's offense and that no top defensive recruit would ever want to play under Heupel.

It was a lie, and Heupel and staff have buried it.

You're Straw Manning me and probably don't even realize it. I didn't say anything about McCoy and Gibson not getting paid. I'm talking about recruiting. I thought that was obvious. Several others seemed to understand.
Okay, what's your point about recruiting?

I don't care if Willie Martinez's CB class is all 2 and 3 stars. I get so tired of people who don't understand what a luxury we have at DB. We outperform teams who spend WAY more.
So this was your post. I'm trying to understand what I missed. You don't think we should want 4 and 5 star corners? Not gonna argue, Willie's unit was great last season. Not as great previous seasons. Hopefully great again this season.

Even some on here said the some thing. Once I heard him speak on that I knew then that he got it. An average or below average D isn’t going to cut it in the SEC no matter how good the offense is. You have to be at least good at both to be a championship threat in this conference. It’s a LOS league. GBO

Well, he was raised by a Defensive Coordinator.
And not only is Defense in his genes, but Heupel also won a National Championship as a player when OU beat FSU and Bobby Bowden’s shiny Offense by a score of 13 to 2. No doubt Heupel appreciates & wants an elite Defense here.

PS. That’s “genes”, not “jeans”. Can’t speak to Heupel’s jeans. 😎

Any idea what time he makes his "final" decision tomorrow?

"As for Hezekiah Harris, I feel a flip to UT likely is imminent."

"Harris will make a “final decision” today, Sept. 1. He either will remain committed to Auburn or flip to Tennessee. At this time, I continue to think it’s more likely he flips to Tennessee and have the Vols with the edge going into the announcement."

that must be hot coals to the flesh, painful, for an Auburn mod to admit.
