'26 AL EDGE Hezekiah Harris (Auburn commit)

After Harris, I imagine attention moves to flipping that TE committed to Kentucky and the DT from Indiana we finished second for?
Wha if...hear me out....we push to flip Kendre Harrison and Savion Hiter?

Re: Harrison, we were in a good spot with him at one time. UT is close to home, Oregon is not, and we don't have a TE in this class. Abelin is a good recruiter. Maybe by ESD, we can flip him. Long game.

Re: Hiter...I know, I know....we were told that his decision will be final. We were also told that Keys' recruitiment would go to ESD and he has shut it down. Maybe the experts had it backwards. Hiter is the one who seemed less than enthusiastic about his "choice" of Michigan, a choice that seemed to have been made for him. Maybe this is another long game play. Keep pushing here. We're closer to home. He'd be the only RB in the class. Great relationship with Sims. Just maybe...

Is Brody Smith still a take? If so, what's he waiting for?
Gotta believe that some of these guys are hoping their SR season could improve their VALUE to all programs. Risk/reward is in play, but an extra star or rating increase can be big in early years earnings. Probably more true in developmental prone rooms.

The increase to 105 next year should help his case.

I’d take him but that’s because I think he’d stay at Tennessee as a depth piece his entire college career if he had to. And I think if a couple of these guys like Ginther and Anderson don’t find a discernible role they could bounce. Smith has pro pedigree, jw if the staff thinks he can bulk up to SEC guard size. Short answer: Doubt it but kinda wish they would.

What makes you think our CBs aren't making bank? McCoy and Gibson are getting paid. I mean, Gibson even used McCoy's injury to get more money over the offseason.
You're Straw Manning me and probably don't even realize it. I didn't say anything about McCoy and Gibson not getting paid. I'm talking about recruiting. I thought that was obvious. Several others seemed to understand.

Didn’t expect it at all, but when we announced CRG hiring I knew that sent shock waves. Auburn hasn’t been the same since he left for Knoxville.
Heupel is an offensive guy, but he understands how huge defense is in the SEC...he has been investing heavily in defense since he started here. That is most HCs mistake imo..they want their shiny toys on whatever side of the ball os their forte, and short thrift the other side.

I am actually starting to believe Heupel is just a FOOTBALL guy...🤔

How good a player is Straw Manning? Will we offer? Legacy?

Last I saw AP said he was a take. But Blair has flipped since then.
Yeah, and that's why I'm wondering. I heard AP say that too. I just wonder if Blair committing (which might push Shabazz inside) changes things. On the other hand, we'll have 103 scholarships available next year and I doubt we come close to filling all those, so might as well give the kid a shot.

Well, he was raised by a Defensive Coordinator.
