I'm not trying to slight what Garner does. It's critical. We don't have the recruiting success we have without it. I specifically mentioned that Chop is doing the legwork in recruiting. I'm not sure why you think I was putting anyone over the other. I'm giving flowers specifically to the person responsible for the specific success being referred to.

Need more DL. Would have loved to have landed a crazy good CB. Another IOL would be nice as well.

But I expect DL will be sought out in the portal.

Finch would be the DL. I think we are great at IOL.

Our evaluations seem to be good at CB, but I agree would be nice to get some top 100 type guys there and S

I think we need more than Finch is what I'm saying. And that's if we can flip him. The key to our DL success is being able to rotate in fresh bodies. I think we ne more. But we'll probably look for them in the portal.

Like I said in my original post it was not directed at you, but an overall view of a few posters. Go back and read my entire post, I agree with you. I specifically said it was not directed at you. I am sure Garner loves having Chop doing great work on the recruiting trail. Chop is a great asset and a likely candidate whenever Garner does retire. But I hope Garner hangs around a few more years. Maybe Watkins. We’re prob done after that unless a high ranked guy wants in or (lord forbid) we have a flip going out. We have Albert, Groves, Golston, Rivers, and hopefully Harris on the DL.

What makes you think our CBs aren't making bank? McCoy and Gibson are getting paid. I mean, Gibson even used McCoy's injury to get more money over the offseason.

Just a guess, but I think we could try to poach a player or two from teams that struggle this season, assuming we don't struggle. For instance, if Michigan struggles, it's not far-fetched to think we circle back on Hiter. I think we just wait and see if opportunity opens any doors back up.

Wonder if us landing Keys and jumping way up in the top10 matters to Harris? This team is gonna win it all in 27 or 28 IMO...and make the playoffs in 26. Who wouldnt want to be a part of that?

I think this 25 season is 9-3 and probably first SEC team out of the playoffs like Bama last year FWIW...then playoff runs in 26 27 and 28. GO VOLS WGWTFA

Auburn commit Hezekiah Harris will announce a decision on Monday. Hayes Fawcett said on Volquest on Wednesday he likes where Tennessee is at heading into the decision. We have long said that Tennessee has been in a pretty good spot here as a potential flip option for him and we continue to believe that to be the case. He has yet to tell the coaches anything as of late in the week so we would also caution that a lot can change between now and Monday.

They have now had fall camp to project ceilings for ALL our FR backs and can hunt HS and portal ranks for any that have equal or better potential.

Maybe we mine one of those late bloomers; it happens. We can afford to take a risk on those with more potential than production through their JR year. Their selectivity this cycle will have me all in if they do.
