hubbsSpeaking of Coach Chop, he has kept Tennessee firmly in the mix for Auburn EDGE commitment Hezekiah Harris. The Vols will look to get him back to campus this weekend and keep building momentum there as well. Of all the kids that are committed elsewhere and still talking to Tennessee, Harris is one that makes the most sense in terms of Tennessee’s ability to flip him.
hubbsTennessee continues to chip away at Auburn commitment Hezekiah Harris. Coach Chop has been instrumental in this one and Harris and those around him certainly love the Vols. Auburn took his brother as a transfer back in the winter but we are told that’s not a lock they stick together. Huntsville has always been good to the Vols and this could be another instance of that before all is said and done.
Hezekiah Harris has been no stranger to Rocky Top of late. The four-star edge rusher was back in town this past weekend taking in his official visit with Josh Heupel and the coaching staff.
“I really just liked seeing he coaches outside of the real football atmosphere. I really liked that,” Harris said of the weekend. “The coaching staff, I really like them. I just want to come back as much as I can.
“I learned that it is really a family up here.”
During the visit, Heupel made it clear that Harris is an absolute priority for the class.
“We’ve got a really good relationship. He just let me know that I am one of the guys that he really wants. I like that,” the pass0rusher said of Heupel before shifting gears to coach ‘Chop.’ “He really wants to coach me. He let me know. He would coach me hard. He is recruiting me hard.
“I’m hearing from him every day.”
Harris said his recruitment is likely to go all the way to Signing Day in December as he wants to keep his options open and attend several games this fall. He has plans to be back on Rocky Top in the fall.
Would love to flip him just to see the continued meltdown Auburn fans are having on their 2026 recruiting class. Right now he is the only top 200 player signed with Auburn. Guess the yellawood checks aren’t clearingAre we still trying to flip this kid? Just curious, as Auburn has been hemorrhaging commits.
Tennessee is never going to stop recruiting four-star edge rushers committed elsewhere in Texas A&M verbal Tristian Givens and Auburn pledge Hezekiah Harris.
Two edge players that Tennessee and coach Chop continue to work on are Auburn commit Hezekiah Harris and A&M commit Tristian Givens. We believe that Tennessee is going to settle in for the long haul in both of these recruitments and hope to make something happen this fall.
