Same here. I thought it was awesome how the guy offered him his UT hat and he just responded with "naa I've got plenty of UT gear!"

I don't think this was AJs motivation just another good side effect is that it will help his draft stock by showing character. IMO

It's nice he helped him, and funny about being offered the hat. I wonder if he ever actually told the guy he was a starting LB for the Vols. Ha!!

But OP seriously...this shows how the staff is showing these kids how to be men??? AJ has been nothing but a solid kid, and it has nothing to do with what this coaching staff has done. His parents, upbringing, and everything else to this point...yes...but stretching it to put it on this staff.

Maybe he posted it in hopes that someone would see what he did and be inspired to go out and do something good for somebody else.

It's kind of funny that folks want kids to come to UT and represent the university well, be positive role models, stay out of trouble, be a true VFL by caring about the community, etc...

But, when the kids actually do such things, they suddenly have ego problems and are bashed...seems like fans kinda send mixed messages, doesn't it?

Maybe AJ is just trying to be a positive example, use his role on the team to reach out to those less fortunate, or maybe just share a little Christmas with others...all of which reflects positively on our program as a whole.

Either way, I'd much prefer to see our players portrayed in this light, as opposed to in the arrest column, in rehab, or illegal benefits allegations, etc.

So, Merry Christmas To All...

Go Vols!!!

Or the bigger picture may be that this may inspire others to do good deeds. Doesn't matter who posted it IMO. I'd say experiences like these are humbling to most.
