Will be one of the greatest players in UT history by the time his career is over (barring major injury ofcourse). This guy has the creative mindset to change the way the linebacker position is played. His thinking on the field is quick and diverse and his instincts are top notch. He reminds me of Rolando McClain.

I hope you are right. I do think of him and think of Donta Hightower of Alabama in his freshman year in 08 so I hope I am right too!!! Go Vols

While I do like Maggit and Harris, AJ is my favorite of all the linebackers.

I really, really, hope you're right... but no offense, somebody says this every year it seems like about someone.

Isn't this how the tall tales of Rod Wilks started?

One of the biggest things that is always underrated with football is team unity, more specifically unity amongst the different positions on the team.

The offensive line unit is not only very young and very good, but it is one of the closest knit groups I've seen at TN. It has also occurred at every other position on the field (maybe with exception of QB, because I don't know personally the relationship between those guys). The RBs are friends, the WRs are friends, the LBs (in particular Maggitt and Johnson) are friends, the DBs are friends. One of the saddest things I've seen on the Hill was the fighting amongst themselves. It was a huge problem at the end of the Fulmer era, it was still somewhat of a problem in the Kiffin era, but now Dooley seems to have united the team.

I know this is a bit OT, but I thought it was an interesting thing to point out.

These kind of threads always make me panic that I'm going to see that they were injured, arrested, etc...

Just watch his tape, the OP is probably closer to right than wrong! I think the Donta Hightower comparison may be closer! AJ is a big boy, hope he stays at linebacker!
