AJ Johnson update

I agree. I was talking to her (hadn't met her before, it was a birthday party of a mutual friend) and I brought up the AJ thing because we were talking about the end of the season and she just rattled off a list of everything that girl did that night. I can't remember everything she said because it was early June, but she was very clear and direct with all of it. It was easily the most believable information I've heard since November.

That's awful. If true, she cost him his NFL career and potentially millions of dollars.

I can see it going the way of the kid from USC. I do, however, think AJ's career isn't shot. He hasn't lost a step in terms of talent because he played all of last season and this will be finished half-way through his rookie season. I doubt he's convicted. If this is true, which I believe, she's cost him the rookie contract, but it's up to him now for the 2nd contract.

Separate trials. DA is going to try and turn one of them into a rat.

Defense attorneys often desire separate trials because they believe it can benefit their client not to have him lumped in with the other guy in front of a jury.

Is this friend of a friend willing to testify?

There is no "willingness" to it if she still lives in the area, and maybe regardless. If she gets summoned to court, to court she will go unless she would rather see the jailhouse.

One does not simply provide an update thread. The flaming turds will fly into the thread like moths to a dumpster fire.

Thank you for this post. I giggled. It provided some levity to this post, which for all intents and purposes, is in fact much like a dumpster fire filled not with moths, but turds.

If what I was told by the dreaded friend of a friend (a girl who was at the party and claimed to be the first one to get there and the last one to leave), all the claims are false, the girl bragged about how she was going to get with AJ, went to the room on her own accord, then came back after and kept partying.

I know the friend of a friend thing is code for nobody believes it, but I do. I was very skeptical and one of the sternest backers for not railroading the girl without info. This info was very damning.

The girl I talked to is a friend of AJ, though, so she's probably a little biased. She said she missed the first half of the Mizzou game because she was hanging out with him, but that he said she should go to the game because it was her last football game too (she just graduated).

Did she say how Mike Williams was involved??

We didn't focus the topic as much on him, honestly. She mentioned him, but I just can't remember at this point. All I can say is that she doesn't believe there was even a sliver of rape that occurred in that room, based on the girl's actions before and after the time spent in the bedroom.

She also 100% shot down the thing I'd heard that was apparently just misinformation about it being an...ALterNAtive...version of sex that she said "No" to and that they did anyway

(solve the world scramble)

Sorry for the bump if not interested.

Update
Jurors' beliefs to be questioned in UT rape case - GoVolsXtra Story

Summary
AJ and Mike will be tried separately. The defense attorney for both are attempting to get the counts reduced as one act of rape instead of 4 separate counts. They were denied. Mike Williams trial starts Aug 24 and AJ starts Sept 29th. Both of the attorneys also requested that the evidence from the grand jury trial be put forth. They don't believe there is enough evidence for it to have made it this far and would like to know what the prosecutors presented to the grand jury for the indictments. The judge denied this from happening saying that in Tennessee, the grand jury hearing is secret.

Also in another article, Mike Williams' attorney requested that the results of his lie detector/polygraph test be admitted into evidence.

Just as an aside , there is no such thing as a LIE-Detector . It is a machine that measures skin alkalinity, heart rate , and such . You cannot pass it , or fail it . THAT is why it does not count in a court of law .
