Since when is it the taxpayers responsibility to help pay the bills for your mother to attend GRADUATE school? Good grief most people are having trouble putting gas in the car. You feel touchy on the subject because the taxpayers helped put your mother through graduate school? Talk about a sense of entitlement.

Oh, and there may be less fraud (I doubt it), but that is only because it is easier than ever to get the benefits. 46 million people on food stamps for a record 40 consecutive months is not an accomplishment. It's a national embarrassment.

Have you tried getting assistance? I have a friend of mine who lives in Chattanooga who is a veteran and is trying to get some GOV assistance and the process is insane. He has a lawyer now trying to help. So unless you are on assistance and it was very easy. Where are you getting your information from? I'm an Independent. Both parties only do what they are paid to do by the billionaires and corporations that own them. You guys are the shining example of doing exactly what the politicians want. Both the left and right want their minions to spend there time angry at those around you and spouting their talking points. Do some real non biased research on any of the political stories and you'll find the real answer is somewhere in between the left and right. Their goal is to keep all of the little people fighting so you don't see what they are really up to. Wake up sheeple.

Sorry buddy. Didn't mean to piss you off. Most people are critical of programs because they think people are sitting on their a$$ not being themselves. That want the case with my mom and I respect her for that.

Who paid for your education? unless you were home schooled, the taxpayer's did. You entitled leach.

Another thing, if you are struggling got gas money then whyhow the world are you paying for broadband or a smartphone. Or do you post telepathically? Answer - you aren't struggling to fill the gas tank. You most likely never have but you want to judge others as being lazy.

I don't feel like people who honestly use programs to WORK their way out of poverty deserve to be scolded by those who never had to worry about where their next meal is coming from.

I don't know your history but you just labeled me "entitled". I would still be on food stamps if my mom didn't WORK herself half to death when she had 3 kids she had to feed. You are quite a guy.

Yep...innocent until proven guilty is a myth in the US...nearly everyone that has ever been in the legal system in any way knows that it's more like guilty until proven innocent. Our legal system is ****ed...look at our prison population compared to other first world nations. I love this country, but our justice system is greedy, corrupt, and minimum sentencing laws have proven to be a disaster...that is, of course, unless you're a private company that profits from jails/prisons or a judge with stocks in the corrections system .

It was my understanding that innocent until proven guilty applies only to a court of law, in that the burden of proof is on the prosecution. Outside of courtroom, such as participating in a NFL camp, would not be the purview of "innocent until proven guilty" and completely up to the people who run the camp (or whatever) as to who they will take and why.
