AJ Johnson/Michael Williams Case (merged)

And he will be if he is good enough and not guilty. The NFL can spin any story of forgiveness

It doesn't help a borderline NFL player. IMO aj was going to get drafted higher than he probably should. I don't think he will stick in the league. He is too slow.

Simple. He didn't open his eyes to what has been going on in the world of college athletics and allowed himself to be in a situation where this happened. I'm not saying he has to be abstinent, but damn, have some smarts. All these high profile athletes have been getting in situations like this, so why hook up with a random chick in a bar when you're a high profile athlete?

This has been my thought all along. Although only a few people know the truth.

The one scenario that someone posted on here about this girl being Bowles' girl and getting caught hitting on and meeting AJ sounded like the most believable story, if he is innocent. I have to believe these guys have groupies waiting to lay down for them so rape seems unlikely because of that. There was a party at the apartment complex where they live so that casts doubt on rape for me, too. I hope the truth comes out.

GO VOLS!!

I get how that works. Any idea of how hard that is to prove?

If it's that bad she deserves it and he will be on his way to the CFL like he was before it happened

I've already replied but I think aj was getting drafted but would not stick. Now he doesn't get drafted either way and yes he loses millions. If he is guilty then he deserves it but I won't put guilt on him before the case is settled.

Agreed. I just think everyone is so worried about him but nothing about the case seems to stand out as anything other than a rape situation and if that is the case it has to be awful for the girl involved

What if he doesn't go pro on any level? What if he was just a regular student or a regular guy for that matter? What consequence should the woman suffer for making a false allegation?

I'm not claiming she shouldn't be punished for gals accusation. The argument started on my end w people blindly assuming she made it up to cash in.ive done a poor job of staying focused on that

Ha. Is that why it settled so quick? I'm done playing w you people tonight. Enjoy your bizzaro world. Make sure the aluminum hats are tight tonight

Why did she wait until he was a millionaire to bring it up?

This is nothing like the duke situation.if you think it is you are on another level of horribly retarded tenn fan

All I said was, "I think it depends upon whether the alleged victim is telling the truth or if we have another incident like the Duke lacrosse scandal. If the latter, then A.J. is the victim." That was my entire response.

I never said whether I believed her or thought she was lying. I absolutely have no idea either way, and have never claimed to have an opinion either way.

If she is lying about A.J., then it IS similar to the Duke lacrosse case. The similarity would be both alleged victims lied about being raped by college athletes.

I must confess I do find similarities in those two situations, but, then again, I am "horribly retarted."

She brought it up to the rape crisis center within hours of the incident. She stated that Manning put his butt and scrotum on her head as she was checking him for an injury. Manning said that he was mooning Malcolm Saxon who was a cross country runner at U.T.

There was a letter from Saxon written to Manning entered into evidence that said..."Bro, you have tons of class, but you have shown no mercy or class to this lady who was on her knees seeing if you had a stress fracture. You might as well maintain some dignity and admit to what happened. Your celebrity doesn't mean you can treat folks that way. Do the right thing here."

That letter probably helped Manning decide on an early settlement.
