AJ Johnson/Michael Williams Case (merged)

Even if they clear him today, look at what all this woman may have done to his life already. Ruined his good name, ruined his senior season, damaged his draft stock... yes, it would be a tragedy.

Bull****. Ray Lewis helped cover up a murder and is no doubt hall of fame. If acquitted, AJ probably wont make it because he isn't that good

Simple. He didn't open his eyes to what has been going on in the world of college athletics and allowed himself to be in a situation where this happened. I'm not saying he has to be abstinent, but damn, have some smarts. All these high profile athletes have been getting in situations like this, so why hook up with a random chick in a bar when you're a high profile athlete?

I must be the only one that remembers college life or maybe other guys wasn't like me and friends......I slang the booty constantly back in college....I had to work my butt off to get it....I can't imagine a college athlete getting it thrown at him every day....when u r young, a girl yelling rape is the last thing on your mind......I once rode cross country with this semi hot voluptuous semi-truck driver just to be able to do it on a big rig....I missed two days of classes including a final to score that one.....young college students do anything for the booty.

So your argument is a significant portion of rape claims are false?

I'll answer that... I would say if it was just 1% that were false, you still have to treat the accused as though they are innocent. I would rather see 10 rapists go free than see 1 innocent man go to jail.

She wasn't a random chick. He's banged the chick before the night in question. Why now would she scream rape?

And what will happen to the woman if the charges are false? What justice will there be for her if she ruined his life over a lie?

You think she won't be remembered? IF she goes through with the whole thing everyone will remember her

I'm not saying it isn't wrong and isn't terrible for him if it is all BS. My issue is with people assuming she is trying to get something out of his fame. If I conveyed that poorly I apologize

The Truth About False Rape Accusations That All Men Should Know

A meta-analysis by Rumney (2006) suggests that between 10-50% of rape allegations are false. Kanin (1994) arrived at an estimate of 40%, using methodology that strikes me as more trustworthy than a simple count of police-recorded ‘malicious accusations’, since many false rape claims are ignored. Kanin’s unique process was as follows:

Kanin investigated the incidences of false rape allegations made to the police in one small urban community between 1978 and 1987. He states that unlike those in many larger jurisdictions, this police department had the resources to “seriously record and pursue to closure all rape complaints, regardless of their merits.” He further states each investigation “always involves a serious offer to polygraph the complainants and the suspects” and “the complainant must admit that no rape had occurred. She is the sole agent who can say that the rape charge is false.”

The number of false rape allegations in the studied period was 45; this was 41% of the 109 total complaints filed in this period. The researchers verified, whenever possible, for all of the complainants who recanted their allegations, that their new account of the events matched the accused’s version of events.

Other studies have arrived at figures as high as 90%, such as Stewart (1981), who considered one case disproved because: “It was totally impossible to have removed her extremely tight undergarments from her extremely large body against her will.” I wonder if she lives near Nigel?

Google is pretty easy to use, even for the slobs on this site. I'm surprised Bloomberg isn't over your head.

Seems like it's your opinion on rape versus mine. Knowing my situation in life, I'll take my opinion

You probably had sex with your ex. If you had sex with her tonight would it be consensual? Who knows? Just because you sleep with someone once doesn't give you license for future meetings.

Slobs? I'm guessing resorting to name calling is also "part of your situation in life".
