Grand Juries meet on Tuesdays.

Here's a quick summary for those out of the loop:

Accusations made-->Rape kit administered-->search warrants based on those results meaning a reasonable basis to believe a crime could have occurred exists.

Police investigation-->evidence gathered, interviews conducted, no charges filed. There is not enough physical evidence to file charges.

Investigation wrapped-->Case moved to the DA. The DA believes there is enough evidence that a crime might be been committed to bring potential charges before a grand jury to examine the physical evidence and victim/witness testimonies.

That brings us to the current state of affairs. Supposedly, the grand jury was to hear the case today (Tuesday 12/2). I would expect that, since the police did not have enough to charge, if it only takes one hearing, no charges will be filed. We could know that by tonight or tomorrow, IF that is the case.

If things are messy (as they appear to be with two alleged perpetrators, one victim of alleged forcible rape, another not pressing charges but having possibly witnessed the event), this will most likely take more than one hearing.

IF that is the case, it will most likely be next week at the earliest of charges are filed or the accused will be cleared.

it came out yesterday that the KPD is still investigating and has not yet given the final report to the DA's office. So the DA has not completed a final review and decided to take to grand jury at this time. May be next week before taking to Grand Jury or could go to following week.

Should be noted, Grand Jury has a case load backlog and has spent multiple days meeting this week because of all the cases.

Guys.... Just heard from someone I trust that the worst is true.

They did it, planned it, and even tried to film it.

I hope I'm wrong but this person is family and I know they have contacts close to the parties involved.

I guess I will be proven right or wrong soon. But just wanted to let y'all know that there's a very real possibility that everything we all feared is true.

I may be way off base here, but if there was evidence of a premeditated, orchestrated, tag team forcible rape, these guys would have been charged by the police.

Exactly. The lynch mob mentality is running amok in our society. I just want the truth to come out. If they are guilty, then I hope they get punished for it. On the other hand if they are innocent, I hope they are free and cleared. True justice be served.

That's about the most far fetched thing I've heard since the Gruden rumors, had any of this been true the DA would press charges and would have no need what so ever to send it to the Grand Jury.

I dont have a clue but I'm sure KPD wants to try to get it right. The other high profile cases like this one seem to have problems and crumble.:crazy::bash:

Just FYI, a girl that I know is very well connected at UT. (head of her sorority) confirmed to me that AJ is innocent. I believe her, she knows everyone over there. Just thought I would pass along
