AJ Johnson Accused of Sexual Assault

Did any of the coaches say anything about Williams? Because if they didn't and they're saying they "can't wait to get AJ back", that says a lot IMO.

How do you know this?

Because the rape victim hired legal representation yesterday and her attorney told the D.A. she would cooperate fully and seek full prosecution.

That's not language that suggests she is going to recant/change her story, or decline to press charges.

The incidences of players being reinstated quickly have all occurred when the victims decline to press charges or don't want to cooperate in the investigation. All indications are that the victim in this case is doing the complete opposite. That means a lengthy investigation, and AJ not being back on the field in the next 2 weeks.

Well Thigpen said he can't wait to have him back so I'm going to do the same as you since we both know the same amount and ASSUME he'll back before the season is over

You have zero idea and just guessing, so put that out as well.

A little knowledge of the legal system goes a long way. Victims who hire legal representation and make statements that are seeking full prosecution = something that's not being resolved in the next 3 days.

Oh.. and the Tennessean reported earlier that the victim's attorney was seeking for it to go before a grand jury for charges. Again, doesn't matter what you believe in regards to Aj's guilt/innocence... but this isn't being resolved quickly.

And if the DA decides there's no charges he will be back

I don't believe that the coach would call him a "good kid", if it was likely he was about to be charged with rape. Keep in mind that the coaches have more information on the current situation than we do.

According to the Knox news post she said she would cooperate "if" the DA decided to press charges.

Sensible assumption - more than can be said for most of the posts on this subject...

I can't recall anyone saying how great Sandusky was as he was under investigation.

Still, these are just assumptions and this thread makes me feel icky inside.

Welcome to the board though.

I swear some people's "knowledge" is "Hey, I took a Street Law/Criminal Justice class in High School, I think I can put my .02 in!"
