Ain't it funny....

Would you say that loss was completely on his shoulders?

I wouldn't

07 was on Ainge.

No, I wouldn't. But I would also say that '01 LSU < '07 LSU, and the other UT players in '07 < the other UT players in '01. Casey's SECCG was better than Erik's, but I'm not sure how much validity the comparison has, as the road was steeper in '07.

IMO I think Ainge was a better QB with a much better arm. I think Clausen had some spectacular plays made by our Wideouts. Heck if I remember correct was he not the one who threw the 50 yard hailmary to James Banks against Florida to go into half? I think his wideouts saved him a lot of times.

If there was a VolNation award/poll like the Fulmer Cup that measured the most ignorant and incorrect person on the board, Lucky Dice would be numero uno!

Let me start off first by saying that I started this thread at like 1 a.m. and was drunk off my arse. It was the result of a conversation between myself, a bamer, and a gator. We determined that every QB since the big 3 of the 90's (Shuler, Manning, Martin) has been a little worse than his predeccesor. So I will let your first rude statement slide that I am either "blind or special" because both my vision and my mind were impaired. Don't get me wrong though, I believe what I said to be true. But there is enough crow on your face that I can give you the first one back!

I really hate personalities like yours: Very defensive, cocky, always "right", quick to judge, bold, name-caller. And most importantly, ignorant; but we will get to that in a few. I am sure you have lost many friends over the years and you are someone who is constantly having to apologize to people.

Obviously you are in the minority on this conversation. Nothing wrong with having an opinion, unfortunately yours is not the popular one. You built a temporary case for yourself based on stats that you found. And about the time you shouted from the top of the hill "I am all knowing, who else wants some," the real stats surfaced and the egg started coming out your ears and nose, eventually covering your entire upperbody. But the yolk really got messy when you pulled your Kansas City driver's license out and claimed to be Mr. KC sports, only again to have your points proven wrong based on fact.

You claimed the majority of us on this thread to be lacking intelligence and logical reasoning and compared us to 7th graders. But most importantly, you called us ignorant and uneducated.

Being proven wrong because you're facts are wrong is an uneducated thing to do.
Boldy making statements based on this incorrect info is the textbook example of ignorance. So tuck your tail and go get a dictionary.

I admitted the statistics I found at ESPN were wrong on Clausen's career stats, but what I stated about Clausen's career at KC is true. He was asked to attend spring training, he played very few games in the preseason, the one I attended he never played a single minute. He was not asked to even stay on for the practice squad. How was that information wrong, if anything everyone who posted about it agrees with me.

And my statements were that Ainge is the better Quarterback. Not the better college quarterback. And thats what you said in your OP. Then it got off on a tangent by others that Clausen is the better "college QB." To say this, you're basing it off his college career, which he had better supporting players than Ainge. He also had weaker competition in the SEC than Ainge did last year.

But lets not get into that, the fact of the matter is Ainge is the better QB. He has better skills, he has better everything than Clausen. Thats why he's in the NFL, and Clausen is not.

So if you're to argue that Clausen is a better "college" QB, then please state that in the OP. And I have said multiple times that my statistics were wrong, how many times are you going to beat that bush? And statistics weren't even my original argument towards Ainge being better. Someone else brought them up, and I just checked them. My statistics on better seasons is still correct.

Have a good life posting on a forum drunk though. Sounds enjoyable.

I guess you are blind or special. Clausen was a much better college quarterback than Ainge. The stats speak for themselves. Then, there is the wins and losses. But I guess you are a better judge of a quarterback than wins and losses, yards, or touchdowns.

IMO Clausen had a much better team around him than Ainge ever did.

Clausen was the man who could ever forget him playing on a separated shoulder and beating arkansas, or the 4-19 pass he completed in T-town to cj fayton in a game we won in I think 5 overtimes or the times he beat UF....He might not have had a NFL career but if he would have had cut coaching him he would have been a taken within the first 3 rounds of the NFL draft
